Long-term vs. Honeymoon phase

Contributor: HannahPanda HannahPanda 12/03/2011

Are you and your partner in a long-term relationship of a few years or almost a year, or are you still in the honeymoon phase of nearly no fighting and feeling enamoured with each other? My relationship is newly coming out of the honeymoon phase and we are seemingly okay so far.

Do you prefer a relationship being close and tight knit, or flirtacious and passionate? I personally have a mixture of both, but not every relationship is built the same.

We go through stages, after 15 years things are a bit deeper than they were to begin with. Right not we are in the working through issues and then we will go to the honeymoon after the problems are worked out, it really varies depending on what we are going through at the time.

We go through spurts of both. We have been together almost 18 years.

we've been apart for six months next week, so when she gets back I have a feeling it's going to be honey moon phase again.

Both of my relationships are out of the honeymoon phase and to be honest I prefer it this way. I really don't like those crazy first days of new love...it's exhausting and hard on the ego!

We're definitely long-term, but every so often, he still gives me butterflies and that giggly, love struck feeling.
