I have always loved the idea of an older woman, and this goes way before American Pie came out and everyone started talking about MILFS. For me, its the experience of an older woman, the shape the smell, everything i can imagine, since thats all its come to so far... Since I am already married this will never happen for me, but I can still dream.

I don't date anyone under their mid thirties. Usually they are just no that interesting. I am from a phone using generation, I do not text. I'm not from the my space, i pod, facebook blogging generation, I'm from the hands on go out and participate in life and cultural activities generation. So no matter how good the sex is, you have to have a conversation. I have never used a Wii or any of the new toys or games but I have played real sports and fired real rifles,etc. I'd rather be witht he real experience generation vs the virtual simulated experience generation.

Most guys that I've dated have been anywhere from a few months older to a few years older. Since watching "Closer" when I was 16 I've had intense fantasies about guys who are quite a bit older than me (Natalie Portman taunting Clive Owen in the strip club...yeow)

Oddly enough I feel I'm in the opposite boat to most of these responses. I didn't vote simply because I don't know where my response truly lies. My long-term boyfriend is 20 years older than I am and we have a lot of chemistry in the bedroom. I have not dated someone my age or younger because they simply are not attractive to me, their simple-minded mentality combined with the drive that only seems to be in their pants, just isn't compatible with me. Sure they may be physically attractive but it doesn't go much further than that once they open their mouths.

@Alan & Michelle: I agree, age means nothing when it comes to maturity levels. Dating people an age difference ranging 2 years to 20 years has definitely proved this theory for me.

Both my guys like older women though Sigel also likes younger women. he prefers younger women for quick conversation and friendship but older women or same age women for romance. Arch isn't interested in women his age at all currently.

I like guys my age or slightly older, though Arch is 15 years younger than I am he's the exception not the rule.

I have a thing for older men and like ToriRebel, the relationships I have had with men who are 10-15 years older than I am have worked out the best and there is something different about it. I say I like people my age because my partner is the oldest guy I've dated and he is withing 3 years. I prefer the slightly older because they are much more mature at this age. 21, 22 year old guys, at my college, are very immature and don't think. They have no money, live pay check to paycheck, and spend any money left on beer and paying court costs lol. I have always dated around my age, so I am unsure if I would like much older, but I have never gone after much older either. But dating someone a little older has been awesome because he actually has a good goal in life and is achieving it (this is the key element lol). He has an education and military experience and has been on his own longer than most guys my age. So anyways...I like a LIL older but it's the age not the looks. He actually looks younger lol.

I used to prefer older men. I fantasized about my male history teachers a LOT (the youngest one was about 27, the oldest was 64) when I was in junior high/high school because boys between the ages of 12 and 18 were horribly cruel to me on top of being stupidly immature; 'if this is what I'm supposed to be attracted to, forget it'. (There were few exceptions - but they were still only friends.)

I should also mention that David Bowie playing the Goblin King Jareth in 'Labyrinth' jumpstarted my puberty (age 9, I had to start wearing a bra not too long after I saw the movie) - older mysterious man that tempts young girl to womenhood! SQUEEEE!

I carried my older, intellectual man fetish out of high school and met my husband, who was ten years my senior. What should have been a warning sign was that we were at the same maturity level when we met at 21 and 31; I thought I was just over-mature for my age, and went with it. The next 10 years proves me wrong as I matured a bit and he stayed EXACTLY THE SAME. At 32 and 42, I divorced him.

Now that I'm on this side of 30, the guys my age are starting to show signs of slowing down, being serious, and treating me better. I'm not ready to date yet, but I think I'll start with something closer to my age this time when I do.
