Related to: Robot Sex For as long as robots have been a concept in the human imagination, we have been plagued by questions: Is advanced artificial intelligence possible? Can machines devoid of emotion truly understand the human condition? And...how awesome would robots be in bed?

Sex is getting high tech, no doubt about it. From USB connected sex toys to the Sybian, Real Dolls to homemade fucking machines there's a definite interest in the less "human", more robotic side of sex. But what about a real, honest to goodness robot? Would you fuck one? And what would it look like if you could choose your robot?

Well, I'm a maybe too, and here's my logic: If technology gets advanced enough to create a robot that can fuck, then it can totally make that robot relatively realistic, and that opens all kinds of realistic-but-more-adv anced opportunities. So, provided that it was a safe, un-creepy (red glowy eyes and bolts spinning all over the place = creepy) and, I dunno...sexy looking robot, sure I'd give it a go. lol

I know there are already "fucking machines", and while that looks a little extreme, for me.. I think maybe I'd do a robot. I wrote a paper on robotics last semester, and I found some really lifelike ones.

Henrik Christensen founder of the European Robotics Research Network, said in 2006 that he predicts people will be having sex with robots within 5 years- so we're only 2 years off!

Ok, so if my robot looked like a real guy and I could pick out the specs (you know, six-pack abs, nice, thick cock, must be made of sterilization silicone, of course, etc. etc.) and if he could do laundry too..then hell ya!

I am with the folks that say I guess it all depends on the robot. If society and technology get the point where it is all Blade Runner and we can't tell who is real and who is the replicant -- then sure why the hell not. By the way Blade Runner is brilliant go check it out.

I've read many of the robot series books by Isaac Asimov. One where a female (human) fell in love with a "male" robot and engaged in intercourse with him. When the robot was asked about it, I remember him saying something like he didn't derive pleasure from it but the woman did so he would complete the act. It was pretty strange and made me realize that I wouldn't want to have sex with a robot. I like a warm body that is just as human as I am. But then again, R2D2 is pretty hot...
