It's part of Dom/sub relationships - the Dom has control over the sub's sexual release, which includes forbidding masturbation for a certain length of time.

We got to our room at about 3 am. Climbed in bed, counted our "wedding cash" (we were poor and in grad school) THEN had a quick lovemaking session and fell DEEP asleep. It was....wonderful.

Quite a lot od D/s type relationships regularly use orgasm denial as a part of their play. It's not quite as awful as it sounds and it can amke the focus on sex the most exhilirating they have ever had. For some it's sheer hell and for others it just lets the desire to have an orgasm wane.

We did have sex on our wedding night...and pizza...it was great and a very sweet night.

My husband and I were both virgins on our wedding night. I was prepared for a painful experience, no fireworks, and for it to be over as soon as it began. It was the exact opposite! I had an orgasm, he lasted, and it didn't hurt. It was as perfect as a first time could ever be....and no, I'm not making this up! It was amazing and we did it 7 times that night. Orgasm denial is a Dom/sub play experience. It can cause intense arousal in both the Dom and the sub.

As I've gotten older I find it harder to climax or it takes longer, so we don't do this much anymore. He may tease me, doing what he knows will prolong my "agony" for a few minutes when I need to come, but at our lives right now, at this point, we take the orgasms I can have whenever they happen.

But, it is quite common in B&D and D/s relationships. It can actually be a lot of fun. The sub has complete control over permission and consent to do these things, but going into the entire complexity of BDSM, D/s, M/s, and other Power Dynamic relations is out of the scope of this thread right now. Read around, you'll understand after a while.

There is a lot of information on Power Dynamics and Dom/ sub relationships in EdenCafe. Several of us write about it. I wrote three essays, two on "Sub Space" (yeah, I know.... it's been done to death) and one on what I don't know about "Dom Space" and what I think it might be like. Not only did we NOT have sex on our wedding night, but we saved our virginities until the fourth day of our honeymoon, because we spent the nights of our honeymoon up until then in cheap motels and we wanted to save it until we got to the cabin that we rented up in the Rockies.

We did, but we also had a little different wedding day than most. We had a brunch at 11am and the were married at 2. We left all of our guests and went to our hotel. We didn't have the reception until the next day. I would SO...recommend this! Made for a much more enjoyable wedding night.

OOOOH! What a great idea! I photograph weddings, and yes, by the end of a one day event everyone is FRIED. This sounds very enjoyable.
