Hey there,

I've put in a request to up the number of reviews you all can edit per day so we can get this backlog cleared out of the task market.

If you wouldn't mind doing a sort of roll call for me and let me know who the active editors are, I'm thinking for now I might need to add a few extra people. We'll see how quickly we get the increase in effect and then go from there.

Also, if you can view the task market and see any reviews you think are plagiarism, please continue to send me the information. All I really need is the screen name and one task ID#. (Points will be awarded for the effort.)

Thanks, Stormy! I was thinking of emailing you about this very thing. There should be 21 editors currently, but I don't know who all of them are (though some are listed here). Not sure how many have been able to do the three a day currently allowed either.

Though it says somewhere (can't remember where) that it may take up to two weeks for a review to be published, I know people don't want to wait that long.

Same here. I applied on May 10th for the Article Proofreading task, but it's still listed as Waiting Approval. I'm unclear if the 5.0 ranking applies to this role, too, as it does for Review Proofreading? Hoping to get up to the 5.0 ranking so I can help out on the Review Proofreading, too, since I love editing

The do a rotation of the editors, so when you apply, you probably won't hear back until the next rotation is due to start.

When I applied, it was right when they were about the start the next one. Which is the one we are currently in.

So after a lengthy discussion with the head of the Dev Team, we've decided to add people instead of increase the limit you can edit per day (it's a change in programming and to revert back and forth is kind of a PITA, whereas just adding people I can do on my own) sooooo

I just found my editor notification in my spam folder (dang Gmail!), and read the guidelines. I saw the following:

"The reviewer didn’t use the product.
If the review states that a product wasn’t used, not because it was defective (see above) but because it was too big, too small, ugly, uncomfortable, smelled, etc., the review cannot be accepted. It’s okay if the reviewer tried to use the product and had difficulties with it, but if they didn’t like it out of the box and didn’t make an attempt to use it, they should not have submitted a review. We ask anyone who has received a product they are unable to use to let an Administrator know right away so the assignment can be canceled. If you begin to edit such a review, please “transfer to Administrator”."

I've seen several reviews, that I recall, in which the reviewer didn't use the product. Is this rule still in effect?

Yes, that is still the rule. If you run across one like this, make a note at the bottom, add "Do not publish" in the title, and send the details (task number, review title, and reviewer's name) to Stormy.
