It varies with me--I look at the new items and also on my ntr wishlist. It is a private one that I Have been saving as I find items that need reviews.

For me, and I am guessing most of the guys, I look for the new stuff first. There is not many of the old left for monthly free assignments. Like right now there is only two available, either new or old-there is only so many places I can store a 5lb chunk of UR3. So after that I look into other categories and go from there.
It can be crazy though, most of the time a new product becomes available I have to wait until my month is over before I can request it. lol Last time around I went for a chemise for the wife and then all these cool looking plugs/P-spot massagers came up.

I try to pick something that needs my review, but it doesn't matter if it's new or old. The new stuff seems to go so fast!

I generally don't request many items for assignments, but if I do its generally a new item. Since I don't review that frequently, I rely on DR and push assignments for the most part.

My Magic 8 Ball decides for me.. no, I'm just kidding. I had to choose that option because it was so random lol. I actually browse products daily and add them to my wish lists. Then when it's time to request an assignment, I'll look through my wish lists. I have both new and old products in the lists so I request a bit of both.

When it comes time to request something new I visit that list to narrow down what I'm interest in is still available. Usually I keep review alerts so I can read up on the product to see if I want it as well as to move them off the potential assignment wishlist. Some stuff on there is months old and some is new. It just depends.

I like newer items, but I also try to find some that I have on my wish list that I would like to review, or give a plus sized review where there already isn't one.

Sometimes I try to get something new, but the last few times I have gone for something that I see needs a review based on the comments made on its product pages. Like people waiting on a review to see the color or to see how a certain size fits.
