I would start with fingers at first. They are free, you already have them, and they will work better, plus you need to see if she can learn to enjoy it. After that, as far as toys, go with silicone. It is the best for cleaning and it will last for a long time. Something the size of your finger maybe bit bigger would be the best.

Not sure about either of those toys. But I would definitely recommend a soft toy first. Preferably silicone.

I agree with the above comment about the Tantus small silk. That's pretty much a perfect starter size and it's made of a nice silicone material as well... boil-able, bleach-able etc.

Other advice besides starting with a small size... just use LOTS of a nice lube like Maximus and go extra slow... it's not a race down there so both parties just need to have plenty of patience and it won't turn into a painful experience.

Agreed - fingers are free and with nitrile gloves they can provide a little or a lot of stimulation until you find your own comfort zone. Lots of lube and patience will make for a lot of fun. Start off small and work your way up. Don't be afraid to experiment with various textures and sizes to find out what works best for you.

I would start with a starter set of anal beads. My mans finger always made me feel uncomfortable and I wouldn't be able to relax knowing where his finger was going. Start slow and talk to her the entire time using lots of lube! The biggest thing with any anal play is trust!

I agree with fingers. Plus they're probably the smallest out of all the toy choices, movable, and vary in size. Plus I feel like you personally have more control of how much pressure you apple, which would be helpful if it was in efforts to get her more comfortable with the idea again.
