Are anal toys dangerous?

No, I don't think so. They could hurt if they are too big/ you aren't used to the size, but I don't think it will make you bleed. If you don't clean your toys, bacteria and what not could cause problems, but that's not the toy's fault
It's very possible to experience tearing and bleeding if you go too fast or use a toy that's too large for your experience level. That's why lube and a slow pace are so important.

Hehe, I was looking at the same item, wondering the same thing. Personally I think people should know what they are doing before engaging in anal sex.

I don't know about people with colon problems, but I haven't had any issues with using them.

I completely agree. If you just use common sense, everything is fine. If you go trying to shove a too-large toy into your anus with no lube, you are going to have problems. If you choose an appropriate sized toy, go slowly, and use lots of lube, you will be fine. If you have some pre-existing medical condition, you obviously will need to consider that when trying to decide whether or not anal toys are for you.

They are only dangerous if you aren't following the right precautions.

So long as the toy is meant for anal play and there is no risk of it umm vanishing lol there should be no issues

I really think it depends on the individual, which toy, and how you use it.

Okay I voted no but the real answer is "they can be", which wasn't a choice. It depends on your medical history, what size and materials you use, and how you use them.

I think education and patience is key. Over the past couple of months I have moved from a beginner to an advanced anal player. I listened to my body and didn't rush things. I also have a healthy diet, which has contributed to my overall well being.

I think that someone who had serious bowel issues probably wouldn't be doing anal play because they probably would associate discomfort with that are.

If you want to experiment anally and have diverticulitis I would ask your doctor first if it is okay. Otherwise no they are not dangerous if used correctly.

I honestly don't know but I have no desire to put anything up there. To me, that is an "exit only".

I think they can be dangerous if you don't use them properly.

This. Folks who have colon problems, particularly if it affects the rectum/sigmoid colon, do need to be more wary about what they shove up their butts. Some colon issues can cause leave scar tissue, which creates a "stricture," or an area of the colon that isn't as flexible as it should be. Cramming a toy into an inflexible area of the colon could be pretty unpleasant.

But folks who have these problems already know all of this. The rest of you needn't worry.

Butt Rules (kinda off topic, but im feeling inspired) :

1. If your ass is fucked up, dont fuck yourself in the ass.

2. Use lube, water based. Lots of it....but not so much it gets ridiculous. I love these posts about using lots and lots of lube. Like someone should rent a fucking backhoe and place a giant funnel in their ass and start shoveling 100 gallon scoops of lube into their ass before getting butt banged.

3. you dont store shit in the part of the ass you get fucked in, unless you have to take a dump. So: No you wont get shit on yourself or anyone else so long as you squeeze a healthy log out.

4. Anal does not hurt. You are NOT stretching your fucking ass open. I am sick of hearing girls complain they dont want their buttholes "stretched open". You are Relaxing your tushy muscles, just like getting a massage. This just happens to be a massage in your butt, so chill out.

I'm not an expert in anatomy, so I can't say for sure one way or the other about being stretched and won't jump on that. However I will say that yes, anal can hurt. For a man or for a woman, it can be painful. Yes it can be painful because they're not relaxed, but it's not that easy for some people to relax and some people never end up enjoying it. I don't think it's fair to tell these people to just "chill out" over something that they potentially have no control over and something that's entirely on them to decide.

It depends a lot on how you use it. Any toy can be used improperly and cause damage to delicate tissues inside your body. Always thoroughly inspect your insertable toys to make sure they don't have any sharp edges.

The toy itself isn't dangerous, but you have to know your body's limits, as well as sanitation.

no as long as u r careful, use lots of lube, and go slow. also don't use something too big and listen to your body. it will usually tell u if something is wrong.
