I want a g-spot dildo that is rather reliable (I know we all have different anatomies and such), and was set on a glass dildo, until I started reading reviews for Ella.
Some extra info: My g-spot can be kind of elusive, but I've found it successfully in the past with a First Time g-spot tulip vibrator, which is curved and bulbed at the end. However, I don't think the vibrations are necessary for me. I want something that I can use for thrusting (gently so with glass to avoid a bruised cervix) and to apply pressure with. I would love a toy that can be used solo or with a partner, though not for pegging purposes: I just want him to control it some of the time. I am interested in temperature play, but I can do that with something else too, because g-spot stimulation is the primary goal for me here. Which would you recommend?

I have both. The Amethyst would be better for temperature play, whereas the Ella is better for thrusting...for me. They are both great choices. I say get both!

I like the round flat head of Ella. It works better for me than a pointy tip. But lots of women have sucess with the pointy tip.
