Silicone is always one of the safest materials around because it can be cleaned the easiest. Not porous at all. I would definitely go for one made of silicone. Although you can't use silicon lubes with it.

Silicon is best most of the time for me since I don't like how ridged glass and steel is. However, though you should use a condom to keep it clean and it smells bad I do love how rubber feels so I do have one or two of those.
