To me, it really doesn't matter. I'm normally not of a high sex drive, and I don't ovulate regularly.. But when I'm actually on my period, I'm like a cat in heat! I tend to stick with glass during the few days that I'm bleeding, and I've had intercourse before.. It doesn't gross me out or anything. If I decide to go the route of anything else... It's in the bathtub and/or with a condom. Laziness tends to prevail.

I do use toys that I can insert while on my period. But it REALLY depends, mainly on how I am feeling.

If I do, it's a nonporous material and usually waterproof... because I will just hop in the shower to fool around with myself.
Otherwise, I normally use external vibrators while giving my partner oral sex.

I don't use toys when I'm on my period, but it's because I don't FEEL like using a toy or really getting off period. As it lightens up I get more in the mood and will use one, though. At that point I will prefer a penetrative toy and just use it in the shower to immediately rinse off anything.

So I don't avoid toys because it grosses me out, it's just on heavier days my sex drive disappears.

I'm a guy, but my lady and I don't use them. The only thing she'll let me insert into her while she's on her period is myself. And that's fine with me.

i say its perfectly normal to do plus ur hormones are high at this time which makes it better i think and even better if said toys can be used say in the shower and if u cant use them in the shower then condoms are not just for a mans package feel free and have fun

Hell to the no for me. What a damn murder scene down there! My flow is too heavy & I experience way too much pain (endometriosis) to think about anything besides throwing myself in front of a car. Oh, and lots of head. That's when I like to have a human lollipop available. A girl's still gotta get excitement somehow.

I've never even thought about this. I wouldn't use insertables during heavy flow days - not because I have a problem with it, it just seems like it'd be a mess - but on the lighter days, sure. I don't see a problem.

I haven't used internal toys while on my period, but now that I own some I definitely would use them on my period. I've always used external toys on my period.

I happily use my toys on my period. All my toys are real easy to clean, and I masturbate in the shower a lot, so there's rarely a mess of any real consequence. Plus, as others have mentioned here, orgasms help a LOT with reducing the severity/frequency of cramps.

I don't think it's gross. I can't quite understand why so many women think their own cooter is nasty? I don't actually have much of a period at all, but I usually am not in the mood when that time does come, but if it so happens that I am then yes I do.

We don't typically use insertable as she is uncomfortable doing so, but we certainly use lots of other toys during that time.
