Have you ever gotten a splinter with a wooden toy?

Just the thought makes me wince!

We've never owned a wooden toy. I'm sure the finish prevents splinters but if the finish is worn or scratched off, or it became wet enough, splinters are a possibility.

I won't use a wood toy for that reason even though they are designed for it NOT to happen it still very well could and that would be PAINFUL

They seem pretty safe, I would imagine normal use would never cause a splinter.

I don't have a wooden toy, but I imagine that unless it's defective or you're SUPER SUPER rough on it, this won't happen. They are made to be used so they would make sure it couldn't happen.

Wooden toys don't splinter if they're from a reputable company like NobEssence or Penetralia. If they did, those companies wouldn't be in business anymore.

I've never used a wooden toy.
I would imagine they are made very well and coated in something to keep that from happening.

I understand they're crafted and finished in a way that makes it impossible to get a splinter but I still can't get over that fear! It's a completely irrational fear and I know this. Maybe one day I can try a wood toy and not be afraid of splinters.

That scenario is so improbable as to be statistically impossible.
