I'm looking to introduce lingerie into the bedroom and I'm not exactly sure where to start. I've owned a couple things in the past, but very few and almost all were purchased for me. I'd like to pick something fairly simple but sexy. Here's what I'm considering so far.

Which of these would you pick for a lingerie newbie? Most options are black because I have pale skin, so I struggle with bright colors. Thanks for your help.

Out of those I'd personally go with the Floral Lace chemise for one reason... Garters on chemises drive me bonkers! AND you have to wear thigh highs with them, and those are always the first to come off when we start. I'd personally go for something that's a bit more 'comfortable' like that floral chemise, but I also have some suggestions below.
I was going to suggest This one, but it happens to be out of stock right now.
This one is super flattering and comfortable.
These two are both at the top of my wishlist for looking cute and comfy.
And lastly these two looks nice if you're shopping for something sheer.
Let me know what you end up getting! Good luck!

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! I especially like the turquoise one! I guess a bit of additional info, I'm a D cup, so my choices are also based on what I thought could accommodate a larger bust. The light pink makes me a little nervous because I have auburn hair, but it may be okay. That second babydoll is really pretty.

I'm sort of new to lingerie also, so I can't speak from experience, but both the Stargazer chemise and the polka dot chemise are on my wishlist, and I'm going to buy one of them soon. I think that they're pretty but not too "busy"--and I'm a little wary of garters as well, so the fact that those don't require them is a plus. From reading reviews of the polka dot chemise, though, it sounds like maybe the cup size runs a little small, so possibly not the best choice for someone with a bigger bust.

I love how the stargazer one looks, I actually did a review on the glitter chemise a while back it was my first piece, and it remains my favorite. It was great to add sex appeal and it is a good sturdy piece that compliments your body by fitting very snugly.

I can't decide between the Elegant Interlude and the Star Gazer.

I like the glitter one and the elegant one.

Simple stretch lace pieces are always a good choice.

The plum gartered chemise is very sexy in my opinion.

I'm liking the color of the star gazer one...it's different.

Any would be great!

The polka dot mesh - it's both elegant and sexy.

I think lingerie is more about how you feel in the piece. You man (or perhaps your woman if that's how you roll) will be more excited over the fact you're being bold and picked something out yourself. A great place to start is where you're comfort zone ends. I am pretty shy about being seen naked so I started with see through cami's and more covering types of lingerie until I become more comfortable with showing more skin. It's all about how you feel, not always how you look. Feeling confident is more sexy than wearing practically nothing.

Love the corset!

I agree. I'm comfortable naked, but I wouldn't be comfortable in, say, a g-string. It's not about the level of nudity for me, I am just uncomfortable in things I find too showy. The colors are a stretch for me, but they were too pretty not to consider.

I just love the the look and color of the star gazer one! I hope to lose some weight so I can get one because I'm thinking the Large from that company won't work for me.

For someone new to lingerie, I'd highly recommend going with simple, easy things that tend to flatter most body types. Comfy, flattering and easy. I'd recommend the chemise, I really like it and have a feeling it'd be a great pick! Chemises, camisoles and pretty babydolls are a perfect type of lingerie for someone new to it. Believe me, when I first turned old enough to be interested in lingerie, I went WILD with bustiers, babydolls and the like. I love babydolls. They're the lingerie that usually does it for about any body type. No worries with tight, uncomfortable stuff. Also, it's easier because going straight into something really wild like a crotchless teddy might make most feel too vulnerable for a first piece--that's how I felt anyways.

I like the star gazer one.

I'm really surprised on how many people voted for the first one and the purple lingerie piece. I don't really like them. The first one is a little boring. If if were you, id go for the black pieces with lace on them or the elegant corset. I know my boyfriend isn't really for the flowy things, even though he find anything I wear sexy. But what they really like is something form fitting that shows your curves off. So I'd pick what you think would show your curves off the best!

You are going to get addicted =D Start with one, and soon you will have a drawer overflowing with sexy little things...Haha, mine is labeled just that, and indeed overflowing!
