I'm rather short, so knee socks reach a bit above the knee for me and are also very warm in the winter. Stocking are usually much cuter though.

Socks are more functional, but stockings are sexier. The choice really depends on your goals at the time.

I like both on a gal. It just depends what look you are going for:
Cute-sexy = thigh high socks and boy briefs or hipsters
Vixen-sexy = stockings and garter belt

I like long socks and I like stockings. I think long socks are more practical for my style of dress, but I want to work stockings in more often. We'll see how that goes.

I love stockings and tights to wear for style purposes rather than functionality... Doesn't help in the winter. lol.

Neither! My feet like to be freed.
If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the socks. Stockings are so pretty when worn, but they hardly ever get worn since they happen to be such a bother.

I like both. Well, okay sometimes I prefer long socks, though I don't really like the really thick kind. Ones that are thicker than stockings, but not so thick that they make me sweat or overly warm.
