what is the difference between anal lubes and normal lubes? I thought they were all the same.

Anal lubes tend to be thicker (think hair gel). This allows the lube to stick better since the anus/rectum does not have its own lubricant. It also means less re-application. Some also come in an oil or silicone base which also last longer than water based.
