Sorry, but this is a little broad. The toy for me is somewhere in-between usually. I have had good luck with hard toys in the shower and bath, but then again, I like a softer toy for relaxing sensations. Too soft is a little worthless for me, I need some rigidness. Also, this would depend on the kind of toy you're talking about too!

I used to like softer toys but over time I've just fallen more and more in love with harder ones. Firm silicone, wood and glass - so awesome.

as it turns out i like toys that are softer -- like semi-hard silicone. glass and metal do not cut it for me. too hard! feels more like medical prodding than gentle, delicious fucking.

I like both. Some of my favorite toys are made with hard stainless steel; my silicone toys have different scales of firmness, some do not have much give, while others are squishy.

I like having a variety. Firmer toys are best for intense G-spotting, and softer toys are nice when I'm kind of sore or just not in the mood for a pounding.
