So, my nerves are wired a bit oddly, in that I enjoy electricity, but not the pain that can come from a shock. Thought I'd give a violet wand a try, but went with a cheapoid cosmetic grade one rather than going all-out on a top-shelf, kink-grade unit, that way if I didn't like it, I could still strip it for parts and have a little high-voltage coil to tinker with in the workshop.
Ended up really enjoying it despite it being one of the cheaper ones, and while I haven't yet been able to reach orgasm from it alone, it makes for a great edging tool. So far, I've only got the standard glass electrodes it came with (class comb, spoon, mushroom, and rounded point), and while I do have a metal wartenburg wheel that fits into the wand, the shock was a bit too painful for my tastes. Made a nice neon yellow arc though.
I was wondering if you guys have any tips for getting more out of my current unit, since upgrading is currently outside my budget. I know there are techniques for using a body contact cable with a partner, but I don't have the luxury of a partner at the moment.
Also, does anyone know of any sort of single-spike electrode that would fit in one of these? I could also use it as a high-voltage demonstration tool outside of me just playing with it, and a spike electrode like that would be perfect for creating arcs or for showcasing corona discharge.
