There was another comparison for vaginal balls, but it did not have the Emigi. I'm only interested in these two (for now!), and am wondering what the pro/cons would be for each.

Which would you recommend?

Any opinions on which would be best for beginners? I also bike a lot, so I'm trying to figure out which would be most comfortable over the bumps and dips, as well as sitting around at home.

The emigi is great - I love it. I think the size & shape of the smartballs just aren't for me cuz I have the tilted uterus going on. The emigi is smaller and much more comfortable.

The Emigi is very comfortable! I love it and highly recommend it

My vote is based on reviews of the Emigi, rather than use, but it sounds very comfortable, and is also a great price.

I my Emigi

The Emigi is made of some type of plastic, as opposed to silicone. Does this affect the safety of the toy?

Emigi still has a safety rating of 8 which is still very good. The material is WTP which is soft, it's non-porous and it is also self cleans against bacteria. Still have to clean the emigi but it offers that extra protection. If I remember right it's a material they make children's toys out of as well.

Honestly, it really depends on you. Why are you buying a vaginal exerciser? Have you given birth, or are you just looking for a fun way to do some kegels, or to get yourself a little worked up until evening when you see your SO?
Because I actually have both the SmartBalls as well as the Emigi- I haven't given birth so my vaginal muscles are actually pretty strong (and tight), so the SmartBalls actually hurt like hell to insert and remove because of this. And it kind of misses the point of working your PC muscles since I don't have to put in any effort into keeping them in.
The Emigi is quite a bit smaller and thinner than the SmartBalls, so it takes a fair amount of effort to prevent them from slipping out, especially when the constant gentle bouncing of the internal balls gets me pretty wet.
That being said, I feel that the "jiggling" of the internal balls are a lot stronger and enjoyable in the SmartBalls than the Emigi.
So it really depends on you and what you're looking for.
Hope this helps!

Everyone seems to love the Emigi so I voted for it. It has rave reviews.

I must be one of the very few people who found the Emigi did nothing!
My second kegel purchase was the Luna Pleasure Bead System and it is AWESOME!!!!!! Far better than Emigi!
I don't know if it's the material or that theres more room for the inner ball to roll, but the Luna's internal ball can be felt a lot easier with very little movement. I had to drive in potholes to get a kick out of Emigi. I know feeling the internal ball moving isn't everything in a kegel exerciser but I'm taking pleasure wherever I can!
Plus if you want, you can give a friend the other ball or balls. I only use one ball cause the girdle is too long so I gave one of the un-used balls to a family member. Share the fun!!!

I recently ordered the Emigi and can't wait to try it out. I had the LELO luna bead system and wasn't able to ever use it; they are just too damn big. No point in even trying.
Definitely up to the person and their comfort levels. I have a mental block against size, but I still want to see what all the fuss is about (hence my tireless quest for the perfect kegel exercisers!).

The Emigi is smaller than the Smartballs so you won't really know which is more suitable until you try unfortunately. A better option may be the Ami which is 3 different sizes of "balls". I think that's likely the best choice because not everyone likes the same sizes/shapes.

I have yet to try either of these, but the Emigi seems way more comfortable and awesome!

Emigi would be my pick

I've only tried the Emigi so far. I don't really feel the inner balls too much unless I'm really moving around a lot, but otherwise it feels very comfortable. I don't really have to put much effort into keeping it in, though that may depend a lot on individual anatomy.

I have the smartballs and they work fine, I little large for me but maybe i need to use them more.

I love my emigi raspberry.... If you are a beginner I would definitely recommend the regular size because its light enough for beginners and heavy enough as you get more advanced and then you can upgrade to the heavy set
