I learned to pee standing up without a device for camping. It takes a little practice, but is much more practical than carrying one of these around. Just part your labia with two fingers, push next to your urethra, and lean back. I'm good enough to pee in a toilet now, though urinals and outdoors are much easier!

I think it is interesting, but if you have a little practice, it can be learned to be done without the device. You can pull up on your skin above your jollies and go. I think longer labia can get in the way of the device-less method, but maybe I haven't practiced enough. Not really something I care to get good at. It would probably never come in handy for me.

If you try the method without the device, wash your hands, everyone!

I am all for peeing standing up. I've thought about trying to learn but it takes a ton of practice and I'm clearly not motivated enough so I'm a prime candidate for this kind of product

Heard about a couple of these products, but have yet to try. Sounds convenient for situations where the surroundings are less than sanitary. I'm kind of clumsy, though, so it would definitely require practice.

This sounds interesting... I have pretty good balance when it comes to peeing without making contact with the toilet seat if I feel it's too filthy, but it might be nice to have an alternative for when the floor is wet and/or filthy and I don't want to sully my jeans by lowering to my ankles ad getting them in contact with that, or I find myself outdoors and with no toilet in sight (not very often. I'm an urban gal).

And they're affordable, too...

My boyfriend and I talked about this the other day. Somehow unknown to me he got the idea that some girls could stand and pee at a urinal by just lifting a leg. I guess he thought like a dog pees. He didn't believe when I said that was not normal, it took two more girls to look at him like he was crazy. Where do men get these ideas?

There are some women who have mastered the ability to pee standing up without the assistance of a device. However, they generally don't need to lift a leg.

My only concern is that I would need some TP to wipe after I pee.

I don't know about the SheWee, but the GoGirl comes with two squares of TP and I think the expectation is that if you're packing the GG, you'll also pack one of those little tissue packs.

I have to say, I like my GoGirl even though I'm still in practice mode. I feel comfortable that I can use it without leakage at this point, but working around full length pants is a little iffy. I wish my 'spout' was a little longer.

Yup, I have a Go-girl in camo (the tan colored one). It's great for camping and filthy bar bathrooms.

I was split between it and the Pstyle, but the Pstyle is really long and made of hard plastic, so it would be impossible to carry discreetly unless I carried a bag (never!) or wore cargo shorts. With the Go-girl I can put it in a plastic bag and slip it in a pocket easily.

I have something similar. While I think it's a great idea, I've never used it in public. I tried it in the shower once for kicks but it's still kind of messy.

I imagine this is similar to the GoGirl and such. However, I first read this post as
"The Shewee is a DANCE" instead of DEVICE.

Although urine is sterile I wouldn't want to touch the device after use. And I wouldn't know where to store it after I used it, it seems more trouble than it's worth.
