Original boxes

Do you keep your original boxes for your toys? I tend to use mine for storage but it is getting extra cluttered in my toy box. Do you have any good storage ideas to keep the lint and fuzz off the toys?

I am currently working on making some drawstring bags for my toys. I've noticed the bags that came with my toys did not have a lining, so all the seams and fraying edges were exposed. That wreaks havoc on silicone, which is a total lint magnet .

I keep original boxes if they're nice. I'm keeping my Lelo Ella's box, and I loooooove the look of the nJoy boxes online (hoping they look just as delectable in real life!).

In a pinch you could just use plastic bags. No lint, can easily see which toy is which, etc. And they're cheap. I'll post pics of the bags I'm doing once I'm done and tell you if they work well.

I do not keep the box's unless they are well made. We have some benwa balls that came in a sweet box. I have kept that one to store the balls in. And I might have a box of a strapless double dildo. But that is about it. We keep our toys in the drawer or in the safe. It depends on if they are going to get used in the near future or not. I have not noticed a lint problem yet.

The only original boxes we kept are our 3 nJoy toy boxes, the Naughty Boy box, and the Flip Hole Black container; every thing else is in its own toy bag, if they fit, otherwise they are in gallon Ziploc bags. Never had a problem with lint.

If the packaging was nice, I keep it. Otherwise when things stop fitting properly, I go through and ditch whatever packaging I can.

Do you have a pattern for these bags, or a technique you could share? I was thinking of doing something similar but haven't gotten around to figuring out measurements and materials. Plastic bags are a good idea, but I need something people can't see through, and personalized bags are a fun idea.

I have a few for some of my nicer toys. We move often so it's nice to pack things up to keep them safe during a move.

I've kept a lot of the boxes, especially the rabbit boxes since they collect lint. Glass goes into padded pouches. Harder plastics go into purple crown royal bags

I throw my original boxes away. They take up too much space. I keep my toys in separate plastic baggies right now, but I'm about to make each of them a sleeve like Mary was talking about. I just haven't sat down at the sewing machine and gotten started yet.

I only keep my boxes if they are nice. I usually store them inside a small box, which is slowly getting too full.

I only keep the nice decent ones, like Nomi Tangs, Lelos, Close2You Evolved tins and my Freestyle box. They are classy!

But all my toys all my toys live in a glass cabinet so I don't require the boxes. One just never knows - if I go on holiday or move, I want my highly treasured toys to travel safely.

I like to keep all the original boxes and store them away. I use a clear plastic three-drawer container to store my toys. It's easy to find and retrieve the toys. I'm not bothered by having lint on a clean toy - just rinse it right before using it will solve the problem!

My wife and I have stored our toys in the original packages. It's a bit bulky, but we figure the best protection for them. Her clothes, unfortunately are a different matter. The shipping boxes aren't made for easy storage for long.

I don't keep the boxes, I have a tote I keep mine in.

I keep my original boxes, but since my toys commute back and forth between my room and SO's, I keep all my toys piled on top of each other in a bag...
Hopefully when I get my single room next semester they'll move back into their pretty boxes.
Inefficient? Yes. Does it work? Yep!

Some got crushed so they were thrown out but I have kept almost all boxes so far. I went through a while ago and tossed a bunch. Getting ready to move so will be doing that again soon! I'll keep the nice boxes for sure, either way.

I like to keep all the nice looking packages but that does start to take up some room. This year I found a wrapping paper storage bag that goes under the bed. It is getting full but it works awesome. I can unzip it all the way around so it is easy to find everything.

Love the Crown Royal bags. But better not grab the wrong ones when company's over!

I prefer to use various storage containers, original packaging would take up too much space in my little apartment.

I use bags mostly. I buy a lot of velvet ones, though some I just toss into plastic sandwich bags. Original boxes are things I seldom use for long.

I kept my LELO boxes, since they tend to be really nice (the toys themselves go in their drawstring pouches, though). I keep my Spur in its original tube, since VixSkin is a bit more delicate than most silicone and is safest in the packaging in comes in. Otherwise, I usually just toss the original boxes. I really only like to keep boxes if they're really nice or can be used for something else.

We don't keep them. We put our toys in the toy box or in the drawer usually w their storage bags.

Right now I keep all the boxes because I don't have anything else to put them in. I'd like to get a toy box though but they are expensive.

I leave mine in the original containers. I've thought about getting some bags for them though. Not sure whats best. If you find something you like, let me know!

My boxes usually go in the trash the day the toys arrive. I typically store my toys in a big box under my bed.

I'd keep my boxes, but it's harder to sneak the toys into my house that way. So one of my toys (Fun Factory), still has its original packaging, while the other (bswish), sadly does not.
