I definitely want this toy but I'm a little hesitant because the only review says it lacks power. Has anyone here tried it? Is it lacking in power or do you find it gets the job done quite well?

Check out the 5x finger vibe or Fukuoku power pack- they're both similar, with decent ratings and more reviews than the Tantrabeam...
