Tri-phoria by Trojan: Check out this ridiculous commercial

Contributor: KnK KnK
I saw this last night on TV and the first thing I did was search on EF to see if it was available (I figured it would have an average rating). Their Trojan Her Pleasure Vibrating Touch - Personal Massager only got 3 1/2 stars on this site. Turns out that the Tri-phoria is not available in stores, so you can only get it through the tv ad. I'm jaded by shiny and/or moronic advertising, but who knows, maybe this thing is actually worth it. I'm no incredibly hesitant to buy something without reviews if it's with my own money. I think I'm becoming a toy snob

Wow, I almost wanna try it, but it almost seems too hyped up. Sort of like a commercial one might see on Saturday Night Live, lol.

Awful commercial. The comments on YouTube were ridiculous. Do that many people really think that vibrators replace sex?

I'm a toy snob, too.

Blow your hair back? Why would a vibrator do that?

P'Gell,
Yes, the commercial was awful. But, I did think it was funny. It was so ridiculous that I was actually laughing at the commercial. Like Julia said, it reminded me of a Saturday Night Live spoof.
I'm thinking this commercial was not really targeted at our generation.

The You Tube comments were no different than what can typically be found on You Tube.

I don't spend a lot of time on YouTube. I guess it's heavily populated by 14 year old boys who snow board off their roofs, break their necks and then put the video on for all to see.

Oh wow. Advertising in general boggles my mind. Anyone else disgusted by that Luvs Diaper Blowout Contest commercial? Effin' ridiculous. And gross.

Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid it is. Ugh, I think they're trying to reach the market for women who are too embarrassed to go in a sex toy shop, but have little or no experience shopping for products online. It makes me sad -_-

@Audra: That showed around the same time. ERGH! It's so gross and stupid. Why the hell is there an ad for babies applauding each other over making a huge poop. (*holding my nose*). That's just bad taste.

@Sammi: yes it does look a lot like a fake ad on SNL. I almost would try it, but at the same time, I really don't trust a toy without reviews. I don't know if I have a lot of faith in this one. :/

Not available in TX?! What the heck!?

Aside from that, it makes me die a little inside to imagine many many people out there that think this is what a good vibrator amounts to. Can you imagine?!

The commercials make me scoff every time I see them. You could buy way better toys for much less..

It is also not available in GA. Which is where Eden headquarters is moving.

Scratches head. I hope there aren't anti-sex toy laws there. I would imagine someone looked into it, though. I hope...

That won't be a problem.

Liberator already has quite a few toys on their website.
Most of them are very nice.

There are a few but I don't think anything that will have an adverse affect on Eden. Zoning for shops is a huge issue here and shouldn't apply as EF isn't brick and mortar. I know of three walk-in places that are within ten miles of me and there are plenty downtown.

Oh, good. I figured some one figured this out. I know, for some reason, sex toys are "illegal" to sell or buy in Arkansas. But, that's Arkansas.

Trojan has ha some pretty ridiculous commercials. Most of them were pretty funny. However, this one was just plain stupid.

Every time I see that commercial I think "So, if their hair is blown back, did they all masturbate RIGHT before this party? Was there some kind of orgy the bride wasn't invited to?"

And to those who mentioned that awful diaper commercial- I change the channel every time that comes on. WTF are advertisers thinking lately??

i thought the commercial was stupid and im SURE there are much better fingertip vibrators that last longer, have better quality, more speeds and so on. honestly, its the trojan name that attracts people toward this product and not the actual product!

YIKES. I just read through some of the YouTube comments (ALWAYS a bad idea...). I can't believe how many of them are like "Why is the husband excited?" Do that many people think sex toys are only for solo use? The one that cracked me up most was something like "Why is the guy excited, is this some new kinky stuff I haven't heard of?" Just the irony of that about one of the least kinky toys I've ever seen!

For the vibrator, it comes from a name that people are familiar with, so they're much more likely to buy it. Along with that, mass merchandiser stores (like Wal-Mart) are much more likely to carry this product as well because it's a well-known brand. I know my Wal-Mart currently carries the Trojan finger vibe and other little Trojan toys.

Really? I had no idea that Walmart allowed vibes to be carried...unless it was a personal massager that's "intended" for your back.

And yes people will buy from a name they're familiar with. Kinda sad really, but I guess it makes the sex toy buying process a lot less scary for people

They don't carry "vibe" vibes. They carry the little vibrating cock rings or little vibrating finger massagers. It's near their lubricant and condom selection.

No, it's is completely legal to buy and own sex toys for novelty purposes in Arkansas. It's not allowed in Alabama though.

I remember seeing this commercial and laughing at how bad it was. I also remember thinking, "What? I'm sure that toy is probably only 3 vrooms at best! If that toy 'blows their hair back' then these women would be hairless from the Hitachi!"
