Perceptive forum discussions on Waterproof vibrators:

Waterproof toy lube
I've heard that water-based lubes cannot be used with waterproof toys. Personally, this just sounds a little weird to me. Is that true or is it only...

Waterproof Toys
This is so cute! And I love that it is waterproof. But why aren't ALL toys waterproof? I feel like that would make life much easier...

Waterproof or false advertising?
Do you guys and gals feel that more often than not, your toys that say they are water proof are in deed actually not?

Is this toy waterproof?
I probably missed it in a review if so sorry... but is it water proof?

Waterproof Vibrators... A few Questions..
Being new to toys, I have a few questions about the waterproof vibrators. I just ordered one recently, and tried to use it this evening, and it didn't

Waterproof, I need to be able to clean my toys without worrying if I am ruining them.

It really doesn't matter to me. I rarely ever use toys in the shower or bath, and it's not a huge deal to be a little extra careful with the cleaning. Waterproof is convenient, but not necessary.

Waterproof definitely, it can go in the shower with me and doesn't break from a cleaning mishap.

I love waterproof toys, but I won't pass up one that sounds great just because it isn't waterproof.

Waterproof because even if I don't use it in the bath or shower, I don't worry as much when it comes to cleaning with soap and water.

I don't use my toys in the shower or bath, but I like not having to be ultra careful when washing waterproof ones.

I'm not big on playing in the shower, but washing non-waterproof toys can be such a hassle, as I prefer just using standard soap and water.

Waterproof...only for washing...I don't use toys in the water

I don't really use toys in the bath, as sex in water is kind overrated when it comes to lubrication & all. But, I do appreciate it for cleaning or whatever wet incidents might occur. (Don't know if you could kill a non-waterproof toy with a major squirt, but that would be bad. LoL.) So... if a toy is waterproof, I consider it a nice bonus, but it's not something I absolutely require. (Depends on the toy some as well... I'm more concerned if it's particularly expensive, etc.)

I don't really use toys in the shower or bath, but it just makes me feel less nervous to have a toy be at least splash-safe.

Waterproof, non-porous, 100% body safe, phthalate-free, easy to clean please! I'm picky about my toys

Waterproof! Even if I don't plan on using them in the tub.

As a side note, expecting all my toys to be rechargeable, made of high-quality materials and waterproof left me feeling a little cold when shopping for cell phones.

Waterproof is nigh-mandatory when I shop for toys. I only own two vibes that aren't waterproof, and it's rare that I even look twice at a toy that isn't. Aside from loving my shower time, waterproof toys mean I don't need to worry about anything happening while I clean or if I squirt all over the toy.

Honestly, I don't know why waterproofing (or at least splashproofing) isn't the standard for most toys. Seems to be the sensible route to me. At least it's fairly common, at any rate.

I don't mind either way, I don't like using them in the shower/bath, anyway. But waterproof makes it easier for cleaning, I suppose.
