I have the Little Steel Vanitas, which is basically a more expensive version of the Little Something, only with a design, just like the Little Chroma Vanitas. I only paid a little extra, though, and would never buy the diamond version, even if I could afford it.
However, I think I can shed some light on why they have these ridiculous limited editions -- they turn up in celebrity gift bags at the Oscars and other events. The target market is the same folks who spend two thousand dollars on designer dog collars, and the buzz generated at red carpet events probably does sell the things.

No way I would pay that much for a vibe! There are luxury vibes and cheap vibes, but beyond a certain quality range, a vibe is a vibe, and "jewels" on a sex toy mean nothing to me.

While I am a sucker for black diamonds, these aren't even that nicely cut or mounted; definitely not jewelry-quality, so I have to wonder, if they were going to do diamonds, why not do them right?
I am also a poor college student, and that toy could pay my rent for more than half the year!

For that much, it should be platinum with white diamonds (black diamonds are lower quality) and pretty/classy enough to wear as a pendant. No way would I spend that much for a vibrator!

Because the Little Steel Tonight looks pretty much exactly like the Little Chroma, but costs so much more, I had to find out why. Then I saw that it also featured 28 black diamonds.
It's so cool in theory, but I don't think I could ever justify spending that much money on any vibrator, no matter how cool, sparkly, or limited edition. What about the rest of you? less

If I had the money I would. Maybe not for that particular one but the set they have with the art work on them. I would definitely pay out for that and never use them.
