Connection between circumcision and interest in anal stimulation

Contributor: David88 David88
So the post I saw the other day about circumcised or uncircumcised got me about since with an uncircumcised guy his penis is more sensitive, whether this affects his proclivity to try other stimulation like anal to make up for that loss of stimulation.

I'm amazed about all the press. We are what we are because of choices made by our parents. I don't feel deprived because mine choose circumcision and I don't feel that I mutilated my son because he is as well.

Cool off guys - move on!

Great question. I voted for my boyfriend. He's circumsized and still enjoys anal stimulation.

They may be correlated but it doesn't mean that one causes the other.

I no I don't expect this to be some sort of scientific study but I figured it'd be interesting to see if there was any connection at all. I know for me anal stimulation plays a big part in my sex life and wondered if part of that might have been the fact that in general my penis is not nearly as sensitive on its own as with the addition of anal stimulation.

I'm circumcised and also enjoy anal quite a bit. But my question is this: If uncircumcised guys were truly capable of experiencing vastly more sensitive stimulation, than would they not also suffer from difficulty prolonging ejaculation and orgasm? And would not circumcised men also have an advantage in stamina? I think not.

So you're hypothesis is that it really isn't that much more sensitive with the foreskin still intact?

I think that intact men are able to go slower and softer and feel more since they have the foreskin to rub back and forth and give them more sensation. They don't need to go fast in order to have good stimulation. I've also read that the glands does allow for more stimulation and stronger orgasms, but it also sort of acts as a protection against quicker orgasms since the skin isn't so tight. Make sense? So, really it's just different methods and I don't think it really has much of a factor on stamina. Also, I think that stamina is something that is practiced, each man has to find the rhythm that works for him and allows him to last longer while still getting pleasure. So, the intact man would always be working with a intact penis while a circumcised man would always be working with a circumcised penis and it'd just be what they were working with.

If that is the hypothesis I can't see how it could be possible. In men the head or gland of the penis has 4,000 erotic nerves, while the foresin has approximately 20,000. Since circumcision removes over 80% of the erotic nerves it doesn't make sense to think that a a circumcised penis with only 4,000 nerves would have the same amount of feeling as a uncircumcised one with 24,000. It's just facts.

I have the unique joy of being in a relationship with a man who is circumcised and also in a realtionship with a man who is not circumcised. Both are interested in anal sex pretty near equally.

Actually that increased sensitivity can make it harder for uncut men to orgasm from vaginal stimulation because the sensations are so very intense. Neither of my men are 'minute men' but in study after study the foreskin doesn't play much of a role in whether stamina is increased. It seems to be more of a mental game than a situation of whether the area is more sensitive or not.

When Arch and I first got together he was nervous and still a bit freaked out to be involved with a married woman, once he resolved the issue for himself he no longer had problems with being unable to orgasm. He has never had problems with premature ejaculation, and he is uncircumcised.

My guy is uncircumsized and his glans is quite sensitive but he has no problems delaying orgasm and he doesn't ejaculate prematurely either. He is very against anal play on himself.

I think guys who are circumsized have a less sensitive glans bcs its unprotected by the foreskin so it constantly rubs everywhere in the boxers/briefs, etc and having anal play may be like an extra little perk to increase the sensations of pleasure.

Hmm interesting thoughts. The fact that it's exposed more makes it get numbed to stimulation. Interesting.

I was asking if that was hypothesis based on how you originally responded. I was look on The Marriage Bed forums for more info on this and saw an interesting article that I found interesting. Circumcised men are just as sensitive

This just goes to show another way that the human body evolves and adapts to things.

I've read articles from people who were orginally intact and then had a circumcision later in life and they definitely noticed decreased sensation afterwards. BUT, I think that obviously circumcised men can still feel quite a bit of sensation and so if you never knew what it was like to have that foreskin then you don't really miss it. Can't miss something that you never knew, you know? I think that it's probably just different, but like SarahBear said, the body does adapt and 4,000 nerves is still quite a few. I just personally feel nature should be left alone and not messed with if there isn't an actual reason to.

Even if we hypothetically have an intact foreskin which adds measurably to the stimulation it's still very possible that you'd get similar results. Anal stimulation is different - I don't like it all the time, and when I do it I don't feel necessarily that I'm "making up" for lack of stimulation in the penis. It's a different pleasure pathway.

I voted in Synthetik's stead, he's circumcised and anal stimulation for him is a no-no, lol. I don't know if he's actually tried any sort of anal stimulation or not, or if he's extra sensitive there from being circumcised, but I do know that it's not something he wants *at all*.

I'm not sure if they're in correlation with each other, or if it's different for each individual guy, though the latter seems more likely.

If you're really interested it might be worthwhile to add selections for "haven't tried anal" to steer those "uncomfortable" with the matter away from saying they don't like it when they haven't tried it.

I'm with Scott. Anal stimulation is separate. I have heard that uncircumcised guys are far more sensitive, and there is a part of me that wonders how that would feel, but I didn't seek out anal stimulation because there was a lack of things going on with my penis. I will say that anal/prostate stimulation has definitely made my sex life quite a bit more fun and interesting.

This poll will lean toward circumcised men anyway. There are far more circumcised men than uncircumcised men.

I answered for my fiancee. He is open to anal stimulation and he is uncircumcised.
