So, are you asking how many times we (if we are married) have sex each week? And then you figure the results of the poll will indicate an average (as if the married couples on EdenFantasys were average - anything but). Or are you asking us to speculate on how many times a week the average married couple has sex?

Many scientific polls have recently tried to answer this question and also how often men and women masturbate.
Contrary to what is commonly thought, married and/or committed couples actually have MORE sex than singles.
Married couples have sex an "average" of 136X/year.
Of course, an average being what it is, there will be couples have no sex and couples having sex more than 1X/day.

I can tell you for sure, MOST couples are not "doing it" as much when they have been married 45 years and are 70 years old, as when they were 22 and just married!!!!
Biology, Physiology and TIME (ie RESPONSIBILITIES outside the bedroom)...such as SMALL KIDS...all take away TIME from "doing it" at different stages of life.

This site is the most AMAZING assembly of different people I have come across and the fact that everyone feels so OPEN and WELCOMING is just INCREDIBLE!!!!!! It has made ME even rethink my ideas about people. I THOUGHT I was pretty open, but I really did, for instance, have some preconceived notions when I saw someone with tattoos or piercings. This site has honestly made ME far more open to DIFFERENT ideas and welcoming to DIFFERENT ways of looking at relationships!!! It's all good.

It is probably difficult to get an "average." I know my husband and I have sex more now than when we were first married (I was pregnant and on bedrest with supposedly "no sex" within 8 weeks of our wedding. We had sex anyway, but it wasn't the same as our regular frequency.)
We've been together more than 20 years and have sex between 6 and 10 times a week, ball park average. It was a little less when we had babies and small children, but now we're pretty busy.
The Kinsey Report found (years ago, but the average now is not that much different) that most married couples have sex 2 to 4 times a week. That's an average, meaning that for every couple who has sex every few months, a couple is having it daily or more often than that.

I think it varies depending on the type of couple. Couples who haven't lost touch with each other would be more likely to have more sex than a couple who hasn't kept working at their relationship. Know what I mean? There are couples who sort of just get comfortable and settle with work, kids, bed. The there's the couples who make time for each other and still work on having a good relationship. Those seem to me like the ones who have more sex. Just because you're married does not mean sex isn't as interesting, despite what people may say. It's up to the couple to keep it interesting and fun.

Married for 25 years. Week to week will very. Some weeks it is as little as 2/week due to her period, kids and fatigue. Other weeks is daily. When we 1st got married we did the thing where you put a quarter in a jar every time you have sex during the 1st year. And during the second year you take one out. The old saying is you will never take out all the quarters.
Lets just say that if you keep putting quarters in and don't take them out you can get a good little savings. Currently at $1,300.

When we were first married, I'd say average of 2 to 3 times a week, including a little time off once a month for her period. (Didn't bother me, did bother her.) Now, after 30+ tears of marriage, we are definitely less than that, probably less than once a week.
