I was just wondering. Often, if I don't orgasm during sex, especially if I really wanted to, I get "female blue balls." Cramps similar to menstrual cramps, cramps in my legs, swollen and uncomfortable genitalia, etc.

I know men feel this affliction, but I wonder how many of the women do.

I know, usually, an orgasm will alleviate it, but sometimes, if we have a quickie in the morning, I want to "save it" for the evening (if I come in the morning it is often difficult for me to again in the evening, as I have multis and it is just difficult) and if I couldn't come, then it's even more frustrating.

I get the same thing sometimes, when I just can't finish (due to distraction or whatever). Usually just general restlessness of muscles and stuff.

I think we call them blue lips.

ROFLMAO! Good one!!!

I get irritable and restless if I don't have a clitoral orgasm during intercourse. I found it's just best to grab one of my little vibes and disappear for a bit, like sybarite1 said.

Another thing I notice though, is if for some reason I haven't had an orgasm for a while, I start having something similar to cramps around the clitoral area. And I found that using one of my little vibes (again) seems to relieve the pain.

I get them often. With enough time even my periods become painful. I found this out after I had my first orgasm at 21. It's not fun and one of the reasons why I try not to get so sexually excited as I have very few days I can actually 'take care' of any issues I have.

But yeah, they feel like menstrual cramps, and sometimes they feel so bad it's debilitating almost.

It's not as bad as menstrual cramps for me, but I definitely get some uncomfortable feelings in the same area. It seems to be worse with potential clitoral orgasms than vaginal - PIV sex without orgasm is still really satisfying to me, but if I can't come from head/fingering I get pretty uncomfortable.

I've had something like it before and I actually looked it up when I did. Mine is like a light cramping/aching along the back wall of my vagina and is only relieved by penetration. The term for what I was feeling is vasocongestion. Per Wikipedia: "If orgasm is not achieved, blood and lymphatic fluid tend to pool, and the blood becomes oxygen-deprived." (Oxygen deprivation -> blue.... Now I get it.)

As for me, I like the term "blue box" for us ladies.

This is a great question! I thought something was wrong with me! This happens to me once in a blue moon. Next time I'll know how to fix it!

I get this as well, but only if I don't get off after a lot of teasing/foreplay...it' s more like mild cramps and a feeling of irritability than anything.
