yeah once you get the hang of putting it in you wont need to buy anymore pads or liners.

I'd like to try one. I wish I could try it out before I actually bought one though.

I concur, as a college student I am saved the hassle of buying a stock of tampons & pads for each month. As a plus it's good for the environment since it lasts several years and no more need for the aforementioned paper products. ^_^

I use one and love it. Prior to that I used pads, as tampons caused too much irritation for me. I hated how they felt. With the Divacup I could easily forget I even have a period if it wasn't for the day of cramps and the stupid cravings.

Cleaning is simple, and you really don't have to deal with too much blood. Dump contents in toilet, rinse in sink, wipe yourself well and reinsert. That's helped to cut down on any real mess for me. No matter what product you use, you'd have some contact with blood anyway. I found pads to be far more messy, especially on heavy flow days.

LOVE IT! use it all the time, no worry about leaks and no super dryness from tampons.

I've been thinking about it, but I'm just not sure. Plus, I wouldn't be able to boil it since we live with my in-laws, and I'd hate to have to explain to my husband's mother what I'm doing with her pots.

It's totally fantastic! I love that I can forget about my period for a full day, and not have to get annoyed by pads or stained underwear at night.

Alittle disappointed, I can use these while I have my nuva ring in, when I take it out my ring comes out along with it.

I said other because I have a MoonCup (UK, not US. They are different companies). That and Lunapads (washable). I know some people may think that's gross, but I have a reaction to the chemicals in disposable pads. Tampons never really worked well for me.

BTW, there is *some* evidence to suggest disposables can make your periods heavier/worse. I definitely experienced this and will never go back to disposables again.

Yes. Had to get used to it, but whatever.

Re: gross, pads are gross. Throwing away tons of blood-covered paper product is gross. Lightweight options, IME, have been so much less gross.

I feel the exact same way. I used it 3 months and I loved it and hated it. I love that you don't have to throw anything away, and that I don't have to worry about changing a tampon every 4 hours. The things I hated what when I had a heavier flow changing it and how bloody/messy it was is just no fun. I also don't like the extra cleaning time. I've been thinking about use it just for the last few "lighter" day. I'm not sure.

my diva cup actually makes me the happiest person in the world. I've been using it for just over a year and have only had one period that wasn't fantastic
