Implanon hurting my arm and another birth control question.

Contributor: - Kira - - Kira -
I've had my Implanon implant for about two years now. In the past month or so it's started to hurt my arm. It feels sore and just generally painful. It started out pretty mild and now it's about medium on the pain scale. Has anyone had any experiences with this? I called my OB, but he was out for the day and I'm waiting to hear back. Should I be seriously freaked out or am I over thinking it?

Second question: I get really bad migraines. The Implanon seems to have made them worse over the past two years. I've controlled them pretty well with acupuncture, but if I have to get the implant out I'd prefer to switch to something that won't give me terrible headaches. Every type/brand of birth control I've looked up that uses hormones seems to have the side effect of migraines. Does anyone know if there's any type with a lower chance of causing them? Not an IUD. I had one of those and it caused all sorts of issues.

Thanks, all!
