Sperm is only part of the ejaculate (2-5%). The full term is spermatozoa.

I typically say semen. It's proper, and maybe it sounds a little too clinical, but I like it. I prefer to use proper terms for everything involved in sex, as it promotes objectivity and clarity.

Still, in the heat of the moment, being proper might sound silly...
