I'm a geek. I'm a scientist. I'm curious. Would you pay a little more for a quality toy (i.e. reputable manufacturer, non-porous material) for the assurance that said toy was impervious to medical-grade antimicrobial agents (Cresols, Avagard, Chloroxylenol, and Benzalkonium Chloride, for instance)?
Would you pay $0.50 more for a product knowing...

I might consider it. Though, I'm not sure how safe it would be to put anything with these chemicals in/on it in my body.

It's only .50 more.
01/30/2012
I would.
01/30/2012
For .50... hell yea. I'd pay more than that too.
01/30/2012
For .50 it's a given that I would pay the extra. I would rather buy 100% premium silicone products from companies such as Doc Johnson and Tantus; rather than from a company that slaps the silicone logo on their product when it's really a silicone composite mixed with other things. I generally will pay a lot extra for something that is safe for my body.

50 cents? Um, yeah.
01/30/2012
For an extra 50 cents, yes, I would pay that.
01/30/2012
Of course, seems like a sound investment for less than a newspaper.
01/30/2012
Absolutely. 50 cents is nothing.
01/30/2012
yea, it's not that much more cost wise

That extra "quality" I hope would be done by workers working safely, not working in hazardous conditions for the workers themselves. The reason that I mentioned that is of course learning of the awful conditions under which iPhones are assembled in China.
A little bit off topic, sorry. A buddy of mine told me that he'd read that if the Apple iPhone were actually assembled HERE in the USA, that would add fifty or sixty bucks to the purchase price. I'd HAPPILY pay that if for no other reason than to keep the work done here under HUMANE conditions.

long as you don't add more nickle and dime options I'd go with the .50
01/30/2012
I wouldnt look for it, but if it was a selling point that was being made than yea id probable buy it..
01/30/2012
I would most likely buy it. Added safety is a key point in selling toys in my opinion. I'm most attracted to toys made of specific material because they are safer. The extra cost would be nothing compared to bit more piece of mind.
01/30/2012
I'd even pay fifty-one cents!
01/30/2012
That would be way worth it, considering the health benefits. I don't know many, if any, people who wouldn't.
01/30/2012
I'd pay a bit more
01/30/2012
Absolutely!

I'm not sure I'd notice 50 cents difference in price when choosing products. I'd just mentally consider them the same price and compare their other features.
Then I'd get the prettiest one.
Then I'd get the prettiest one.
01/30/2012
For 50 cents, absolutely!
01/30/2012
its only 50 cents. of course!

Same here the rice difference would be lost due to rounding.

Definitely. Why wouldn't you?

For 50 cents? No question!

It would be a factor for me if I'm down between two equally amazing toys and that was the only difference. $.50 is small potatoes for a sex toy feature.
02/02/2012
I'd pay more then $.50 extra for safer toys!
