I have been asked by numerous people here on Eden about what it is, so I'll fill everyone in right here.
I am helping with a Domestic Violence Walk on October 12, 2012 here in my town in Virginia. I asked if they needed any survivors to speak and they told me yes, so I have been coming up with some statistics and my story and helpful information to bring my speech together. it can be up to like 15 mins long the lady said. I am the only one so far who is speaking, who isn't a professional - cops, etc so I am a tad bit nervous about that and for the fact that there's gonna be a good 250 - 300 people at the event. I have never spoke in front of people really in general, so this is new to me BUT i also feel like it's something that I need to do to help other women and girls in the situation.
