Following... (a poem)

If I have followed you,
It’s not because I’m picking up pennies,
Neither am I a perv.

If I have followed you,
It’s because I would like to give pennies,
For all that you prefer.

So here I am wondering
Why I followed you,
Even though I would’ve,
Gladly pay a penny or two,

How sad,
You didn’t even turn,
Or look my way,
But that’s okay,
I still love you the same.

If I have followed you,
It’s because I have a free spot,
A spot in my heart so true,
And wish that one day you’ll follow me too.
