I'm going to try to explain how I've been "in love" 3 times.
Two of those times, I was young and rather inexperienced. But I loved my partners whole heartedly. I would have done anything to make them happy. I loved as fully as I possibly could, as fully as I knew how to at that point in my life.
Now that I'm a bit more experienced, I have a deeper understanding of love, what it is to be "in love". Maybe as I age more, gain more life experience, my understanding will grow even more. But up to this point in my life, I consider myself to have been "in love" 3 times, even though my current love is so much deeper than my loves of the past.

Lust many... many times.

It's really hard to say, sometimes I look back and question if I really was in love. I've only been in two relationships that merited actual, mutual, exclusive love. But I've "fallen in love" more times than I can count, being the helpless romantic that I am.

I've been in love twice. One ended badly but gave me a beautiful little boy so I will never ever regret it and the second was mutual but still sad. We still talk but bot as much.

I've THOUGHT that I was love but I realized that it was more of a tolerance in some cases and in another more like infatuation/obsession.
