i'm usually naked around my boyfriend unless we're somewhere where nudity would be inappropriate, in which case I wouldn't be stripping at all! I'd feel stupid anyway.

i've always wanted to. i can do it in my room the few times that i've practiced it in front of the mirror, but when it comes to it, i just get too nervous to do it.

discusting lifestyle choice of a "job" just as bad as prostitution in my eyes

I did a striptease via webcam for my boyfriend while we were long distance, I felt SO dumb for doing it, but he thought it was hot

*disgusting

that's not very nice, and I would tend to disagree with this judgmental opinion.

No, I have never stripped, but I would love to have the confidence to do if for a partner one day!

i meant in a club or bar, not for a boyfriend or husband in the privacy of your own home

I feel a little bit silly doing it, prolly because when we get to that point we just want eachother to be naked already!

I've never stripped and I tend to be pretty uncoordinated. I don't think stripping would workout well for me.

I would watch my words more carefully when speaking here, because many of us are dancers or have danced, and many of us do other additional forms of work in this industry. Yes, it is a "job" and yes, it is work. We deserve the same respect and courtesy that you are afforded in this space.

I would NEVER do it publicly or anywhere except the privacy of our own home with only his eyes. I wouldn't get really into it or anything, but I have done a mini strip. Nothing where I'd actually start grinding and humping the bed post and floor though. Lol

I have never done it as a profession. I have respect for women (and men) who are comfortable enough with their bodies to be able to do this. From what I have heard, the money is pretty good, and the hours aren't bad. (Except you work a lot at night.) I know several single mothers who work in Gentleman's Clubs, because minimum wage salary isn't enough to take care of their families. And some people just like doing it.

I see no reason for anyone on this site to be judgmental about what other people choose to do, or have to do, as long as it doesn't harm anyone. Stripping is not harmful, (its entertainment) and it feeds families in many places where jobs are scarce or most other jobs pay crap.

More power to ya, ladies!

I have never stripped but did consider it years ago. I was offered the opportunity to strip during my club days but decided against it.

I've performed in a burlesque show and I'm currently learning pole dancing. Don't know if that means "stripping" to everyone, but I do admire the art form.

I'd feel really awkward stripping. I don't think I have the right body type.

agreed. not like i truly care bout it because i am a stay at home mom and my husband works for brother company of the railroad and makes decent pay, but its not something to be proud about for 1 especially if u have kids.

Not arguing nor being rude but retail is better than that. thank goodness my husband has enough respect for me and himself to never step foot in a bar without me and never in a strip joint

I have striped before I am comfortable in my skin. I have not done it for my honey though. It has been awhile, but I know how to do good jobs. I have always been told how hot my lap dances are and how good am at shaking my ass! LOL I may just have to do it tonight, I can not believe I have not done it for my honey in the five years we been together!

I have friends who have been or are strippers and they have children and they are also fantastic parents. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing this for a living, and I've met a lot of strippers who enjoy dancing and the money that comes along with it. It's perfectly fine if it's not something that's for you, but unless you've ever actually been any of the people you're passing judgement on at the moment, you have no right to judge what they do. They're not harming themselves, they're not harming their children, and they're not harming you. It's fantastic that your husband can take care of your family, but a minimum wage retail job with 25 hours a week does not pay the bills and feed your children if you are completely on your own.

I'm sorry for my tangent, but I am still offended by you implying that people who choose to strip for a living shouldn't be respected and that it's wrong to do if somebody has children.

As for me, I'd do it for my husband, but I'd feel really silly trying to coordinate myself in a public setting. I've always wanted to try it to see what it was like, and I kind of envy my friend who did go do it. She's got plenty of great stories though lol

(Bravo, Sam!!!)

I've never stripped for a living, but damn was it a consideration when I was eating ramen noodles every night for dinner and still couldn't get ends to meet. The fact that I'm completely uncoordinated and that my husband would have cut my tits off and served them to me for dinner was definitely a hinderance.

I've never really stripped for him (remember that coordination thing that I'm lacking), but I do occasionally sweep items off the coffee table and table dance for him. I usually end up mis-stepping and falling into his arms and then we laugh and have amazing sex. He doesn't care what happens so long as I am confident while I'm doing it.

Yes, they certainly are. And they're also entitled to have their opinions squashed when being insensitive, defamatory or rude about it.
