Well, if you are talking about plugs, then I voted 3". But if you meant shaft type toys, then I would say around 2.5". There are not a lot of 3" toys on this site though

1 3/4" - 2" is the dildo width that I'm most happy using on a regular basis. I can go slightly larger with plugs as they're tapered.

I chose 1-7/8" - my favorite dildos are VixSkins in the 1.75" - 2" range. I don't know that I could comfortably take a 2" dildo that was firmer/harder than a VixSkin, though.
