Les Vampyres by Metro - review by Juliettia

Beautiful women, stunning outfits, dominance play, great sex scenes with a excellent story line. What more could you ask for? James Avalon manages to bring together all of my favorite aspects of a good adult movie in his vampire fetish film, Les Vampyres. In fact, it was rated the movie of the year in 2000 by AVN. Double brownie points.

Set in Northern California, the film tries to draw you in as a car drives down a dark highway almost as if fleeing from something. As the film continues to open we get to witness our first vampire scene featuring a three-way gone horribly wrong. It is shortly after this we learn that strange incidences of castrated male bodies are beginning to wash up along the shore line.

As the credits pass by we meet Jenny and Clint, played by Jewel Valmont and Joel Lawrence. Jenny is a student who has a strange fetish with vampires. Her fetish extends to loving to be bit hard during foreplay, which is a major foreshadowing for the rest of the film. While retreating at a cozy resort they bump into Veronika, played by Syren, and her vampire posse Victoria and Vivian. This is where the whole film story really starts.

To sum the film up without giving too much away, Jenny and Veronika have a otherworldly connection to each other. Veronika is determined to remind Jenny of who she was in the past and get her back. The twist is that there is now a detective slash vampire hunter named Jack on their trail that they must seduce and dispose of.

There are plenty of great sex scenes throughout the story. Each is different in it's own way. They range from threesomes with two girls and one guy, two guys and one girl, lesbian, dominatrix vampire sex, some good old fun in the shower sex, and various ranges in between.

Speaking of shower sex, that was one of my favorite scenes. Clint begins to take a shower and is daydreaming about none other than sex when Victoria arrives and begins to play to his fantasy. There is plenty of hot and steamy action as she limits how much of him she will take into her mouth with her hand, and then later against the wall for hard doggy style sex. While it doesn't sound like much, it was just something that I enjoyed watching.

Overall the story line is strong, and the lead characters are actually pretty fairly convincing. The lighting could have been better, but it seemed to suit the dark vampire look. The actors and actresses are excellent looking, and bodies appear quite natural (mostly real breasts and some pubic hair) yet fit. The overall production was one of the best storyline based adult films that I've seen in a while. The sex scenes were excellent. The menus on the DVD were easy to navigate. There are some bloopers and deleted scenes for your enjoyment. You can check out the cast and crew information and get a behind the scenes look if you'd like. It's a great couples film that I enjoyed with my husband, and we look forward to watching Les Vampyres 2.

My only real complaint about this movie was the amount of driving scenes, fake blood during the fetish scenes, and the condom usage. While I appreciate safe sex, I've never laughed so hard during a sex scene. My laughter takes place at the Inn where Vivian and Victoria are seducing a gentleman for their pleasure/snack, and he's clearly not wearing a condom. While Vivian asks him if he would like to fuck her, you suddenly see the reservoir tip of a condom when it pans back to him. It must have been some vampiric speed wrapping because the panning only took a quick second.

If you like vampires, great plot lines, and are looking for something different then this DVD is for you.
