One Man's Obsession by Wicked Pictures - review by Joie de Cherresse

One Man's Obsession is a Wicked Pictures film. It was written and directed by Brad Armsrong. Starring in the film is Jessica Drake, Randy Spears, Shay Sights, Roxanne Hall, Nikki Benz, Avena Lee, Brad Armstrong, Joey Ray, Tommy Gunn, Cheyene Collins, and Rick Patrick.

One Man's Obsession is a pretty comical film about a man (Randy Spears) who is completely and overly obsessed with a woman named Celeste, played by Jessica Drake. He lives across the way from her, where he stares at her and peeps through her windows with binoculars. He stalks her through the entire movie. Some of it was funny but there are other parts of it that were just creepy, such as the mask of Celeste that he made I'm not going to give away the entire movie, but I will tell you that the sex scenes are pretty dull. There is a total of seven sex scenes in this film, all of them are twosomes, except for the last scene.

I will also tell you that the sex scene between Jessica Drake and Randy Spears (yea, this was a daydream of his) was the best twosome scene. The next best scene, of course the threesome that you get at the end. I guess that's why they saved the best for last.

The end of the movie is something you wouldn't really suspect would happen. Turns out that the stalker will become her savior. It does have a good, happy ending. No he still doesn't get the girl, but at least they will both be happy in the end.

The sex scenes were rather short, definitely not as long as I am used to watching. But then again, you must consider that this film was produced in 2006 and I guess this was a dynamite movie for that year. It was nominated for 2006 AVN Awards in the following categories: Best Comedy, Best DVD, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Editing Video, Best DVD Extras, and Best DVD Menus. I can see where this is possible for way back then.

The quality of the movie is ok. It's not the best, but then again, consider the time period. Back in 2006, this probably was the best quality. It's just gotten so much better now. The acting wasn't the best, but it was believable. There is great camera work and great shots. As I said before, the sex wasn't spine tingling. It definitely wasn't exciting. It really didn't turn me or my husband on.

As far as the special features, this is a two disc set. The first disc contains the feature film, the and a trailer for the film. You also have a chapter index and audio set up. The second disc features an award winning bonus sex scene featuring Jessica Drake, Voodoo, Cheyene Collins, and Chris Cannon from The Collector, The Making of One Man's Obsession, Girls of One Man's Obsession, Blooper Reel, Behind the Scenes Sex Reel, Fun on the Set, and an interview with Jessica Drake.

All in all, we were pretty let down when we watched this movie. I guess it's just because it's a step back in the quality that we are used to getting. Though they had a sexy cast, neither of us was turned on by this movie. Nothing was really exciting about any of the sex scenes. To us, they were pretty simple. I think this one will be going to the trade in at the adult video store here in town.
