Stairway to pleasure game - adult game discontinued by Pipedream - review by MR Chickhabit

Stairway to pleasure is exactly as I expected. It is a game that was thrown together without much care put into game play or originality.

The game includes a game board, two types of draw cards, a candle, a blindfold, warming and strawberry lotions, two game pieces, blue and pink "fulfill my fantasy" notebooks, and a die.

Stairway to Pleasure or "STP" is a basic start/goal oriented game where players roll dice and move pieces around a simplistic figure 8. To begin, each player fills out their "fulfill my fantasy" card and roll dice to see who goes first, move your playing piece accordingly. Along the way one of two types of cards are collected:

Truth or dare. These cards remind me of slumber parties I have never attended, an example would be "What was your first sexual experience? What sex were they? Be Specific!"

This Could Be Embarrassing! Where as truth or dare seemed fairly straight forward, these cards are a little less thought out, and example would be "ACT THIS OUT: You're in the throngs of sex. You're doing it doggie style. Suddenly you realize you're stuck and you can't get loose from your lover. You try but you can't break loose so you pull away and BAM you're loose!"

"Truth or Dare" cards are basically questions that one could ask of a new lover, these cards are actually dull and uninspired for a couple with even a year of togetherness. "This Could Be Embarrassing!" cards are neither sexy or fun. Sometimes they are downright bizarre. Sadly there is one more draw card for them than the "Truth or Dare" cards.

The board is 46 spaces long, and only 8 are card drawing spaces. The remaining 38 spaces are filled with fun instructions such as "Put lipstick on your partner's lips" or "Holding the lit candle at mouth level and between the both of you, whisper "pussy" over and over until the candle is extinguished". We found the actual board to be the best part of the game and invented a new rule to lengthen the game; if you do not land exactly on the finish, you are to go beyond it and continue around the board again. This simple addition allowed us to experience more of the cards, and quite simply more of the game.

Once a player reaches the finish, their "fulfill my fantasy" card is revealed and their "fantasy" is then preformed. Game over.

Playing this game took less than 15 minutes the first time through and, with the addition of our new game play variant, we were able to squeeze out a good 30 minutes. As we played we got more and more naked, used all of the included sexiness enhancing items several times as well as got through about 10 of each type of card. I won. I was really happy to have done so, as I no longer had to play this game. It became very boring part-way through and I just wanted it to be over.

i haven't had the urge to open it again. its just too tame for me. i am hardly vanilla and this game appears to be made for the milder sort or pervert
