Touche? Nope. I'd never heard of this adult toy company before being assigned the Dare Shackles for review. The package arrived, ready and willing to be opened. I'd had my second thoughts about anal exploration in the past, but ever since I tried my first plug, Buddy, and more recently Flexi Felix, I've been completely sold on the idea. I never quite imagined how good the added pressure would feel, and had only ever experimented with fingers before the aforementioned toys. Nervous, I peeled the shackles out of their box and eyed them up. The box was nice, which is usually a good indication of quality. The shackles were silicone. The vibe could be removed, even replaced, and the toy could be sterilized. No worries.

The vibrating factor of the Dare Shackles intrigued me. Vibrating beads? I'd never seen anything like that before. Eager to try them, I pressed the 'on' switch before engaging in any physical contact just to test out the vibrator's ability. It was substantial, though not as powerful as I would have imagined. I lubed the beads up and began to slide them in, pushing each one with my fingers. The entire bead length is 9 3/4", with 8" of that being insertable. Insertion may be difficult to do solo for some, but I personally had no problems.

Once the beads were all the way in, I positioned the large tail as close to my clit as possible and flipped the 'on' switch again. Needless to say, I was once again not very impressed by the power of the vibrations, but they were a nice touch. Also, the tail did not stay on my clit without being held there and pressed down against it. The beads themselves felt rather nice. I would have preferred for them to be in a more progressive size pattern, rather than one big, one small, etc. That was sort of awkward.

When it comes down to it, I think these would be nice beads for beginners, but there are much better ones out there.
