Playful massager probe - anal vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by danellejohns

When I first received this toy for review from Eden, I was a little taken back, since I have never used an anal product before. I was not only excited at the thought of spreading my wings at trying something new, I was also apprehensive, due to the other reviews on anal products that warn about using any toy without a flared base to avoid becoming lodged inside.

I did some checking at the manufactures website and found this product is NOT listed as an anal probe. It is found in the vibrator section as a massager probe. It does say that it comes in three shapes. These are the G-Spot,Probe and the Swirl.

That being said, the Playful Curve Massager is a multi-purpose vibrator. It can be used in the bath or shower as this toy is waterproof. It is also as much fun out of the water, where it can be used in couples or solo play.

It has a unique shape that allows for clitoral stimulation, G-Spot stimulation as well as normal vaginal stimulation.

This product is made from a very smooth plastic. Some of the benefits that I find in plastic products are that they are Hypoallergenic, Phthalates and Latex free which are important to me.

Upon receiving this toy, I found there to be no smell to it. It is completely smooth in texture, except at the base, which has small ridges to improve the grip of the control knob.

There is a small ridge in the shaft of the toy at the middle of the second bulb. For the most part, this ridge is insignificant and does not have any effect on the use of the toy. You can feel it as you run your hands or finger along the vibrator. However, it is not felt during insertion or during clitoral stimulation.

The probe is an extremely well designed toy and an excellent choice for a beginner, but also has a few tricks that the more experienced user would also find desirable.

The overall design of this toy is well thought out, it reminds me of a dress form a designer would use. Working our way from top of the massager to the bottom; the tip, it is round, bulbous and smooth. This allows the toy to be used as a massager for almost any area of the body. This part of the massager is excellent for clitoral stimulation.

Towards the center of the shaft, there is a egg-shaped bulge, which is excellent at stimulating the outside of the vagina, as well as extra stimulation as the vibrating massager is inserted further.

The part of the shaft that attaches to the base is thinest part, which helps to control the toy when it's not inserted fully, and it also helps to minimize vibrations felt at the control knob.

The insertable length of this toy is 5.25 inches. Its diameter is 1.25 inches and the total length is 7.5 inches(including the control knob). This makes the toy itself look innocent and not intimidating for beginners.

This vibrating massaging probe would not be very discreet, as the shape and look of the vibrator actually gives it away as its intended use.

The overall shape and design of this toy make it a toy which anyone could use, from a soothing all over body message to the time for playful pleasure.

This massager is waterproof. It performed very well in the bathtub and no water appeared to enter the battery compartment. There is a black rubber o-ring that is on the base, so as long as the base is tight, it should be ready to go.

This toy requires two AAA batteries. This is a plus, because it doesn't weigh the toy down when in use.

The control knob is located at the base of the toy. It is a variable control so it's settings go from low to high and everything in between. This feature is excellent when using it as a massager, the right strength of vibration can be used, and as a vibrator, you can start out slow and work its way up until you climax.

The only drawback is that the knob is somewhat small. Solo play might have to have a bit more thought put into it, between the size of the control and that it is not a set control, this could lead to some mishaps.

The vibrations themselves can be felt throughout. There is a narrowing at the base so they don't become too overwhelming as you hold it. The solid body of the massager moves the vibrations equally up the shaft to the tip. The only drawback is that while you use the toy as a massager, the vibrations are good, but as a vibrator, they are a little on the weak side.

The noise this toy produces is not very loud on the low setting(comparable to the vibrating sound of a cell phone), but does become quite loud on high(comparable to a hair trimmer). This does dissipate some while the probe is inserted but at its highest setting it still is on the loud side for a vibrator. If you plan on trying to be discreet when using this toy, I suggest that you keep the door closed, go under a blanket, and play soft music or turn the TV on low.

The care of the Playful Curve Massager is quite easy. Being made from a hard plastic, it can easily cleaned with anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleaner or Isopropyl alcohol. The massager is completely waterproof so there is no worry about the battery compartment or the switch when cleaning.

I, personally, just use warm water and a mild soap. This massager is wonderful in the fact that it is a toy that really needs no TLC. After the toy air dries (you can also wipe it with a towel) I put it away.

As far as storage, I keep it in the plastic packaging case it came in. This toy will not, itself, interact with any other toys as long as it is clean and dry.

This massager can be used with any type of lube. I used the Climax Cooling Bursts. You can use your favorite choice of water, oil, or silicone lubrication with this toy, as all three are compatible.

Remember, it is a good idea to remove the batteries from this toy and all other toys when you store them for long periods of time!

The Playful Curve Massager came in a plastic container with a hole at the top for a hook in a display. The package is hinged at the bottom making it a good place to store the toy and secures so that it won't open on its own.

The front of the insert shows the picture of a model in blue lingerie. It states it is from California Exotic and that it is water proof. It states that it is 6.5 inch, multi-speed,lustrous design.

The back side of the insert shows the back of the same model. It says that it is available in the three different model types- G-Spot, Probe and Swirl. It gives the warning to make sure the cap is sealed tightly before use and to always use a lubricant for maximum pleasure.

Now, some comments from my husband- *When my wife received this toy to review, I have to admit I was a little confused over its intended use. I have to believe that it is not an anal vibrator due to the section it is classified as at the Cal website.

I have to say this vibrator has many uses. I used it on my wife as an all over massager, and yes, I have to say, after a while, it went there. It was great that the speed of the vibrations is adjustable, so it can take care of everything from sore muscles to actual playtime.

Its size and weight made it easy for me to use on her without becoming fatigued. The shape of the body made a perfect handle for the massage I gave her. The only drawback for me was that I have bigger hands, so when I went to change speeds, it was a little awkward to do.

I have to say that I think this toy will be used often and I am waiting for a nice massage from her.*
