The anal-flex probe is a vibrator with fourteen bendable beads that are about one and a half inches around. The bead at the tip has a powerful four-speed vibration. The insertable length is about seven inches. The toy is made out of pvc and is powered by two AA batteries.

My unit is very difficult to flex, but will bend in a variety of shapes and configurations. We only use water-based lube, and never share our toys (mine scare her a bit). So we don't use condoms on any of our toys, but I feel if you share any toy with another person, you shoulld use a condom to protect from bacteria and other nasties.

Although it is tight to flex, I have found after insertion it does what it wants. The vibrations at the tip are very strong and cause strong feelings when first inserted. I find it is most intense about one to two inches, causing spine-tingling sensations. However, in my case, it looses the feeling the farther it goes in. Since this toy is a probe and not a plug, don't expect it to stay in during intercourse. We have found it more usable when my wife controls the thrusting, and use it as foreplay for other toys. Although I can take the entire length with no problem, I don't find it filling enough for my tastes. The vibration gets lost on my prostate and really adds nothing to the experience.

Don't get me wrong, I love the intensity and feeling of being insertion just to open things up, but we use it more as foreplay for other toys and not the main event. Five or ten minutes of light insertion and thrusting gets me hot and ready for a more advanced toy. Usually, it is followed by a larger prostate toy. Clean up is easy with soap and water, and we also aways remove the batteries when not in use to prevent batteries from leaking and ruining our toys.

Although the Anal-flex probe does have its shortcomings, it is still good for a warm up toy before moving up to something bigger. The vibration on max can be very powerful, but still is only felt for about two inches in. We still use it frequently before moving on to the Severin medium.
