The White Nights Vibe from Doc Johnson has a few things going for it. It serves multiple purposes. It is certainly affordable.




It confused me a bit, because I have the Doc Johnson Black Magic which seems to be the same vibrator except in black. I fully expected this review to be the same review as that one, except for noting the difference in color. It didn't work that way. When I pulled out the White Nights and the Black Magic, they performed very differently. Please read my review on the Black Magic Ribbed Vibrator if you are interested in purchasing that one, and don't assume they will be the same product but different colors. The White Nights seems to have less power, off center vibrations, is much louder and quit working on it's first performance. It is on it's way back and a replacement is being sent. Hopefully this was a fluke item, I will update my review with the information on the replacement after it arrives.





The design of the toy is a series of bulges, in increasing diameter. They range from about 3/4" in diameter to 1 1/4" diameter. The vibrations of this toy are most strongly felt in the tip, but they are felt through the entire toy as well. It only comes in one color, basic white.








You could use this toy for clitoral, vaginal or anal stimulation. As a clitoral vibrator, it isn't going to be the most powerful option, but as an add on to partner play it can be nice. It can be used vaginal as well. The increase in diameter and textural addition of the bulges feels very nice. By manually angling the toy, you can reach your g-spot with the tip, where the strongest vibrations are, but any pressure on the toy makes it even louder. The package suggests using this toy as an anal toy as well. I caution anyone using it this way to be very careful, as it doesn't have a flared base. With a careful partner, or by being careful yourself, you could use this for an anal probe. The increase in diameter of each bulge does provide you with a bit of protection against it being drawn in further than you'd like. The velvety smooth texture and gradual increase in diameter allow you to decide how far to insert it. But again, any pressure on the toy made it VERY loud. The kind of loud where it's so distracting that it's not worth it.

This controls for the White Nights are fairly simple. There is a basic turn knob on the base of the toy. You turn the knob as far as you like, with increasing intensity as you turn. At the upper end of the wheel, there was a clicking sound and the motor became so off center that it clearly was contacting the housing of the vibrator, and the noise level sky rocketed. After just a few moments of that clicking racket, the whole thing gave up completely. Now it will do nothing. White Nights takes one AA battery.

White Nights is made of plastic, which scores an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Fantasy safety scale. It is a hard plastic, so there is no bend or give to this toy. It is not flexible at all. The outside of the toy has a velvety feel which is quite nice. There is very little drag. You could use any type of lube with this toy, so feel free to use your favorite water, silicone or oil based product. White Nights is also waterproof and able to be submerged, so you can take this toy in the shower or bath with you. You could also use this in a pool or hot tub. There is no noticeable odor to this toy at all. It is non-porous and phthalate-free.




White Nights comes in a plastic package which could be used to store it. I don't see it lasting a very long time if it is opened and shut a fair amount, so you might want to think about storing it another way. Because it is plastic it is easy to store, with no special care instruction. It could be stored in a drawer or toy box.

I returned this nightmare and requested a replacement and had a similar experience. It's super loud, and feels like the motor is off balance, which really changes the sensation it provides. I would recommend this item.
