Slims Self Satisfier a Success
The self satisfier is a great toy for beginners and experts. It can be used anally and vaginally, and the range of vibrations won't leave anyone disappointed.

Pros
affordable, quiet, good range of vibrations
Cons
none
After expressing my interest in trying an anal vibrator, my girlfriend helped me pick one out. We decided to give the Silicone Slims Self Satisfier (try saying that 10 times fast) a try because of its price and size. It looked like a good choice for my first anal toy, and I was not disappointed.
The Self Satisfier is made out of TPR silicone. It is phthalates-free, hypo-allergenic, and claims to be latex-free, even though the base is rubber. This makes it unsafe for those with an allergy to latex. The material is hard but flexible and smooth. The battery case is textured, so it is easier to grip. There is a very faint smell, but it’s not off-putting.
Because of how smooth it is, I don’t need to use very much lube. Because the toy is made with silicone, I recommend only using water-based lubricants. Silicone-based lubes can harm the toy.
The length of the vibrator is 2.5 inches, with the insertable length being 2 inches. The circumference is 3.25 inches, and the diameter is 1 inch. The plug end has four large ridges that, for me at least, help keep it in place once it’s inserted all the way. This toy can be used by anyone because it can be used in the anus, vagina, and on the clitoris. The only downside to vaginal use is the very short insertable length. This may not provide enough stimulation for some, though it can provide clitoral stimulation when inserted, due to the raised nubs on the other end of the base. When inserted anally, these can stimulate the perineum.
The vibrator has multiple settings that are controlled by a dial. The vibrations go from low to very intense, so it has a good range of speeds. The vibrations also do a good job of extending out to the base. The noise level is very quiet. I can barely hear it, even on the highest setting, and it’s even quieter once inserted. The battery case is easy to open and easy to grip because of the rough texture on one side. It takes two AA batteries.
The vibrator is easy to clean. I use warm water and soap. Since the toy is not waterproof, you have to be careful cleaning on the bottom around the wire. I use either a wipe or a damp washcloth to clean the ridges. The vibrator should be stored in its package since it’s not good for silicone toys to come in contact with other toys. It should also never be stored with batteries still inside the battery compartment.

Experience
I like that you don’t need very much lube for this toy. I use enough to lightly coat the plug and to lubricate around my anus. As I insert the toy, the ridges feel good and help keep it in place. The vibrations feel great around my anus, on my perineum, and when it’s fully inserted. Oddly though, I can’t feel the vibrations as strongly in between beginning to insert the toy and having it fully inserted. My favorite vibration is just below the fastest speed. The highest setting seems too fast, but the setting below it is more of a strong, quick pulse that feels great. Overall I am very pleased with this toy. I think it’s a great place for anyone to start if they want to get into anal play.

Thanks for the welcomes. @TheSexista It has a little give if you squeeze it, but otherwise it's pretty hard.

It's nice to see a silicone toy at a decent price! I find that most of the cheap plugs are made out of poor materials.... and when it comes to anal play you want to have the safest material!
