Materials
The Jackboot is made of rubber, wood, and leather. The "sole" of the jackboot is a standard, stiff black rubber that feels a lot like what you'd find on the bottom of a shoe. The back of the paddle is smooth-grained blond wood that has been varnished for a smooth feel and easy clean. The handle is covered in a thin layer of leather that really does more for looks than function. The leather is held securely in place with fasteners.

One of the best things about the Jackboot is its sturdiness. It seems nearly impossible that the Jackboot would break, even during fairly rigorous use. The rubber is well attached to the wood and the wood has a heavy, hardwood feel (which it should for the relatively ample price).

The looks of this paddle are also definitely a plus- it just looks intimidating and interesting!

Cleaning is fairly simple, just a quick wipe down with soap or water should do.

Performance
The Jackboot really packs a punch! The inexperienced sadist might want to be careful using this potent toy. Any spanking with this toy will definitely cause stinging and can cause bruises quite easily (which, in my case, is definitely a positive quality). I love being on the receiving end of this paddle because of the firm, deep sensation of stinging it leaves. The bruises it creates are also cute and gimmicky, as they (obviously) look like the bottom of a shoe.

By using the two different sides of the Jackboot one can create two very different sensations. The actual boot side of the paddle leaves a deep, throbbing pain whereas the smooth, wooden side gives more of a spread out sting. The wooden side also tends to stay cold whereas the rubber side warms to body temperature during use. I love when partners switch sides during a spanking; it keeps the sensation novel. The dual-sided nature of this paddle is something I haven't experienced with similar products.
