Impressions paddle hearts by Sportsheets - review by salaciousrex

The Impressions Paddle is a beautiful leather double slapper paddle. The three hearts leave impressions where ever you hit, leaving you with beautiful marks. It is well made and seems sturdy, but I don't know how much it will hold up to constant rough play. It's been fine for me so far, but time will tell.

The Impressions Paddle is leather, and the handle has wood inside of it to made it easy to hold. On the handle is the Sportsheets logo, and a silver grommet with the Sportsheets logo with a strap through it to make hanging up easy (or can be used as a wrist strap if you have small hands). The handle is big enough for even larger hands to hold on to.
It is 12 1/2" long and the 2 1/2" across at the widest point. The stitching on this is flawless, and is only around the edges of the handle. The edges of the slapper part do not have stitching.
The paddle itself is nice, but not perfect. It consists of two pieces of leather, one which has three hearts cut out of it. The leather does not line up perfectly, which doesn't really affect the performance, but if you're looking for something flawless this could be a problem. The two pieces of leather bend very easily and are flexible, which makes it great for paddling, but too much play COULD wear it out quickly I'd assume.
There's a red piece of paper between these pieces of leather which doesn't serve any functional purpose, but it does make the appearance much nicer. This has that nice leather smell.


The double slapper provides such a nice thud feeling and creates a loud thudding noise. One leather part hits the other when this is used, and it was much louder than expected! It is very easy to get a good sound and thud feeling while paddling, but for me it took quite the hit to leave the impressions. This could be a problem if you don't want a hard hits but want the impressions. Regardless of how much pain you want, this can sure pack a punch or be used for light tapping and for anyone of any experience. You can use either side of the slapper.

For the person paddling, this is easy to use but it is really a right hand paddle if you want the hearts the right side up. You'd have to back hand it with your left hand to make sure they're not upside down.
The person being paddled is sure to enjoy this! It's the perfect thuddy feeling and leaves beautiful marks.

You can use this for punishment, for light BDSM play, to leave pretty impressions, or just to have for looks! The spanking sensation can be amazing during sex or just on it's own. The leather feels great on the skin. It could be used for teasing, then given a good firm hit with it.
This could definitely leave marks more than the impressions. If hit hard enough, I could definitely imagine some bruising or red marks showing up. I used this a lot and was hit really hard, and all it left was temporary marks though.


You should only use this on the buttocks or thighs, or light taps to arms or even vagina or breasts. The red paper between the leather could tear easily if it gets wet, so be careful. You can use a damp cloth to clean this if needed.
The strap at the end is perfect for hanging this up for storage, but it's pretty small and could be kept in a drawer or anywhere else as well.
This came loose in the box with my order, no packaging whatsoever. there is a little cardboard square on the strap with a picture of heart impressions on a woman's butt, and the brand name and what it is. No instructions or anything.

This paddle gives SUCH a nice feeling when hit hard. This is my first paddle so I can't really compare it to others, but it definitely seems like a great one for it's purpose. I am very satisfied with it. The thud feeling is perfect, and I can be hit softly or hard depending on my mood, and no matter what it feels great.

It took a lot of effort to get the heart impressions though. My guy was too scared to hit me hard with this at first, and couldn't get it, so I enlisted a female friend with more balls so to speak to get the impressions on me! She tried it out on her arm to see just how much it would hurt me, and she gave me a fantastic hit. At first there were no marks at all, then as soon as blood rushed to the site, sure enough there were three heart shapes on my ass! It was beautiful, and I kept wanting more. After that my guy wasn't so wary about hitting me too hard. We played with this just for fun to see the impressions and try out how hard to hit it while still keeping the pain manageable.

Then comes during sex. While fucking me from behind, my guy was hitting me with this and got more and more comfortable with using it and hitting my harder and harder with it. I've had a lot of fun with this paddle and it was a great choice for me to get. It's fun, it's nice looking, and it can be painful or just playful!!

I still like it, but I don't like it as much. It's fun and I love the looks of it still, but it's really not the sturdiest paddle out there for really heavy use. You have to hit pretty firmly for it to leave the impressions, and mine is a little curved now at the ends. This is just used to play around with. Not the best paddle out there, but I am glad I got it.
