Melt, Cry, Liquify...

The Liquid Cane is for fairly heavyweight players who want to enjoy the stingy thumping kiss of rubber, delivered in a whip-like strike, or for those who want maximum effect for little effort.

extremely useful review
The Liquid Cane from Leatherbeaten is a violent beast and a gentle lover, all packed into in a decidedly succinct and stern package.

Crafted from neoprene rubber in a 3/8" diameter round fall, this so-called cane is 18" long and easy to compact down to a pocket size. In fact, when folded in thirds, it's approximated the same dimensions of a thick elementary school marker, and will easily fit into a pocket, pencil case, or a random corner of your toy bag. The handle is affixed to the cane as a simple flat shoelace of rubber, held into place by another rubber sleeve that wraps everything together neatly. This is what I love about rubber - rubber toys are always so direct and simple in design. Being made of rubber, the Liquid Cane is waterproof and is shower fun approved, and is also quite easy to clean (wash it with soap and water and dry well).

The Liquid Cane comes with a warning, and I quote:

"This toy is designed for heavier players. Yes, I know you've heard that before, but give it a try and see if you don't agree..."

And you know, it's quite true. This toy has the power to be potently vicious - this is absolutely "learning curve" toy. But really, a little practice will go a long way with this toy - sensations are intense, and light flicks are easy to target accurately and are plenty effective. Do be aware, however, this cane is floppy enough to fall very randomly if you're striking hard, so be sure your aim is as excellent as your smacking speed.

The Liquid Cane has a natural curve to it, allowing you to strike in a few basic ways. If you have it land across the recipients body to that the concave side strikes, the tip curls down and stings. Striking on the concave side provides more of a thud sensation. Experiment and understand - this simple toy can give a lot of different sensations with seemingly innocent positioning changes.

In addition to flailing free across a waiting expanse of some delicate derriere, this 'cane' can be bundled up into a loop, and used for tight quarters striking on tender places. Try the thighs, the vulva, the shaft, the breasts, the back...anywhere fleshy, really. For those that love the sensation of being struck with rubber, this toy is guaranteed to please, and for all others, the chances are pretty high as well, especially if you start lightly.

When striking, the 'cane' comes in with quick stinging intensity first, slapping the skin and raising welts. As more and more hits are made, however, the sensation starts to dull to a deep warmth - that is, until a new spot of struck freshly. Unlike a traditional cane, the liquid cane has flex, and thus can be landed over a larger area much more evenly than you can with a rigid, straight stiff cane. It's like a whip and a cane, blended till you melt into a pool of liquid beneath its strike.
Follow-up commentary
With practice, my hand has gotten more precise with the liquid cane. Bill Ditchburn, the head of Leather beaten said that the liquid cane was for lazy Dominants, and I have to agree - it's so easy to get a good effect.

    great review!

sounds like it would feel a bit like a sjambok
is there a delay in-between the strike and the pain?

All the toys I've ever tried like this have an "ouch!" (count 1...2...3...) "OUCH!!!" even with pretty light strikes. It's a time delay that seems to be pretty consistent with different subs.

I love how this can be folded down Smile

@earthquakepixie Thank you! Good call, yes, it is similar conceptually to a sjambok - although shorter than they tend to be (as I understand it). It's also pretty similar to a simple piece of cable. I have not noted a delay, myself, but I will focus on that idea more next few times I play with it and report back!!!

@Sammi That is a super cool feature of this toy. It immediately found a home in my BDSM gear, I love the versatility and compact-ness.

OK, me and this cane spent some very serious time together recently, and I reiterate - IT IS HEAVY! Tread lightly, tread lightly...

@earthquakepixie yes, it kind of DOES have a delayed things going on with how it feels. Very similar to an acrylic cane, or maybe just a thin cane, actually.
