Impressions paddle love - flogging toy by Sportsheets - review by lilgrump

This paddle is for spanking/paddling purposes. It is best for couples (as it would be extremely awkward trying to use this on yourself). This paddle works best during foreplay. Beginners should be fine with this paddle. This was our first paddle and our first step up from spanking with a hand, and it was definitely not too intense.

Because of its size and the fact that it is virtually flat, this would travel very nicely. However, if you were to be searched by security or if somebody else saw it, it is obvious what this is.

The "LOVE" Impressions Paddle is made of leather and is extremely lightweight. The handle is wide enough that you can get a decent grip, but not so wide that it is uncomfortable to hold. The leather is fairly stiff, but does provide some give. It has a nice leathery smell, but is not too overpowering. It also has a loop attached to the handle for putting around your wrist while using the paddle or for hanging the paddle when not in use. The loop is made of a shoestring type material.



It is made of one solid piece of leather on the bottom and another piece of leather the same shape (with the word "LOVE" punched out of it) sewn on top. There is something (plastic? wood? unsure of the material) sewn into the handle part so that it remains solid and firm. Between the two pieces of leather is a piece of red paper. The paper serves no purpose other than to make the word love show up when you are looking at it. While it does look nice, I would have preferred if it were just made of two different colors of leather and they had done away with the paper altogether.



For the price, I believe this toy is okay for one factor. I am not positive that it will hold up long-term. Where the word "LOVE" is punched out of the leather seems like it will show wear very quickly - especially where there is not much leather between the letter and the edges of the paddle.

This paddle sounds worse than it actually is. It actually has made me jump a few times - but not because of too much pain, because of the noise. It's kind of like when you bump into something and automatically say "ouch" even though it really didn't hurt.

Also, I didn't really have high expectations that the word "LOVE" would be highly visible, but it's visibility is nonexistent. This was our first paddle. Previously, we have only used hands for spanking. Perhaps the word would show up with a more forceful paddler, but at this current moment, I am not ready for that.

It does provide a nice, tolerable sting upon impact and the sound of the slap is a very satisfying noise.

This paddle is made of leather - which scores a 7 on the safety scale. Because it is something used on the body as opposed to in the body, maintenance is fairly simple. You can clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed.

This toy had no packaging. It arrived in the box with the rest of my order just as it is. It did have a small tag attached the the loop on the handle. It pretty much just showed a photo on one side and the Sportsheets logo and website. On the back was a disclaimer about the photo and no instructions were provided. In all actuality, that is fine as this doesn't really need instructions. I would have liked to see care instructions on it, though. I always like to have care instructions regardless of the item.
