I found the design to be a nice one. The handle feels nice in your grip and the furry side is a nice soft alternative to the firmer leather side. The smooth side reveals the stiff core running up the handle. It has an overall clean smell to it. You can use the strap at the base of the handle to keep the paddle on your wrist, which is handy if you need to stop paddling in order to use both hands.

Performance

I found it to work well as both a giver of pleasure or pain. Spanking with the furry side offers a soft padded touch to your skin. This is ideal for beginners or those who want to be spanked without it being more of a painful experience. On the flip side, the smooth leather can spank forcefully and deliver what could be considered more of a painful slapping spank. The edge of the paddle could also be used for light strikes similar to a massage down the back.
