Rubber Bites

Small and light weight, this flogger offers easy clean up, a good fit for most any hand and needs very little space for storage. It's a compliment to any toy box.

I can't possibly start this without saying this is my favorite flogger ever.

Ok, now we can get to the review.

The Rubber Bessie is SO nifty. The handle is a solid plastic rod with a lovely rubber loop at one end and all the rubbery happiness at the other.

Rubber Bessie's working end is 9 strips of rubber that have been rolled around the end of the plastic handle and sealed on. They measure just short of 12" (at least on mine) and are only about 1/8th of an inch thick. But OHHH do they deliver a sting!

As far as handles go, this one leaves plenty of room for any size hand. It is a touch hard to get over a wet hand so use caution as the rubber will skid a little.

The tips of the rubber strips are cut at 90 degree angles so you end up with corners. This makes impact even more intense. If the corners are catching you the right way, you are going to feel not just the strips themselves but the extra sting of the corner grabbing the skin as well.

Clean up is a snap! Because it is rubber, I just took some warm water and mild soap to the strips and plastic handle and left it hanging in the shower over night to dry. Once dry, I did drop it into a plastic bag so that other toys didn't touch it and no dust or particles stuck to the strips.

The Rubber Bessie is very light weight. A good flick of the wrist not only manipulates the flogger quickly but since there's not much to it, it flows through the air quickly with a soft whistle. I heard it coming before it impacted and was delighted at the lovely "thwacking" sounds it made as it hit the flesh.

This has quickly become a favorite in my home. It's often left in short reach of needy hands and has been a wonderful addition to my toy box.

Due to the material, I would not use this on a first timer. The rubber does leave welts and stings more then a newcomer would like to feel initially. Also, use extreme caution around long hair. The strips will tangle and pull the hair out roughly (unless of course you are into that sort of thing).
Follow-up commentary
The continual kiss of this rubber bessie has left me bruised and battered. I can't think of a toy I love more then this.

It gets almost daily use!! The only way I'd love this toy more is if I had more then one of them landing on me at the same time.

Rubber Bessie made me a lover of rubber.

Thanks for the nice review! Only thing I would add is that the rubber in this piece is a mere 1/16" thick. 1/8" would be pretty intense!

and when I say "rubber", I actually mean 100% synthetic polymerized chloroprene!
